F1 to EB1A
it was a easy but expensive journey for me. My background— I have a MS (2017) and PHD (2022) from the US. I first applied for NIW but being a Indian passport holder I had to look for alternative options (waiting time seems to be more than my life expectancy 😂).
By the time I became a faculty member (2022-2023) I was eligible for EB1A. I had more than 2k citations, 20 h-index, 40+ journals, several organic press releases, etc.
So I went for it. Applied I-140 again with premium processing fee. (2023 end) Waiting few months for the date to become current based on older NIW application. Apploed for I-485 sometime in September 2024 and got it approved Dec 2nd.
I used lawyers for everything. I think if you have a strong academic profile , it’s very easy to get GC.

hi everyone any experience renewing your work authorization card from a cr1 case i485 pending application im married to a us citizen by the way my uscis progress still 34 month and i called uscis and they confirmed its a glitch on the system they even say that not to trust that ...crazy them why its there
From F1 to EB1A GC
In 2020 During my PhD I applied for NIW and got my I-140 approved by mid 2021.
Then after I graduated and joined as a tenure track faculty I my profile was strong enough making me eligible for EB1A.
In 2024 I applied another I-140 (priority) for EB1A and got it approved within 10-13 days. As soon as my date became current (based on my NIW 1-140 timeline), I applied for change of status.
My case got approve within 3 months.

Hi guys, I'm wondering if anyone has experience with expediting. I submitted my expedite request 3 weeks ago. Two weeks ago, an officer called me and asked me to send all my documents to a fax number. I sent all my documents 10 days ago, but I still haven't received any updates. I talked to a live agent, and she said to just wait.
