Case Processing
the Humanitarian, Adjustment, Removing Conditions and Travel Documents (HART) Service Center.
Hey VAWA team, my case is at HART Service Center. What does this mean? My lawyer hasn’t informed me, and there’s no update on the App side either. I just found out today through the Congress team. Do you think this will cause further delays in my case? Also, please share how many people’s cases are currently at HART.”

Conflicting USCIS Live Agent Answers
Yesterday, I noticed that there was a recent timestamp but no event codes. So, I reached out to a live agent through Emma and asked about the latest update on my case and whether it was still with the NBC. They said the case is currently being processed at my local field office. Today, I contacted another live agent to ask about the latest update and which field office is handling my case, and they said it’s still at the NBC and that the last update was that my biometrics were reused. Is this normal? Also, I really want to reach out to another live agent, but I’m worried they might start getting annoyed. Do live agents see if I’ve contacted them before?
If you are separated from your children, KEEP FIGHTING TO EXPEDITE YOUR CASE!!
Good afternoon Lawfully family. Today is a happy and blessed day, I am finally taking my son with me to immigrate in the United States. We got separated for years while I was in the VAWA process in the U.S. and he was in our home country. I was waiting “patiently” a little over three years since I applied, always listening what my lawyer told me, to keep waiting and never reach out to USCIS. Well, he was definitely wrong. I was able to expedite the VAWA, I-824 (my son’s application) and even at NVC to send it directly to the consulate and expedite the interview date. If your case is legit, don’t be scared. KEEP PUSHING, KEEP TRYING, KEEP FIGHTING!!!! Also, reaching out to your Senator really helps. Tell their office that you voted and will keep voting and supporting him, and he will help you to expedite the case due to humanitarian grounds. I am grateful for God almighty and finally this wait is over, but please don’t loose 5 years away from your children like I did. it’s truly painful and no one deserves that. Good luck everyone God bless you all!!! thank you for everything!!!

When does the Welcome Letter from NVC arrive?
Hello everyone!
My I-140 form has been approved, and I’m going through the consular process. However, my PD is not yet current according to the Visa Bulletin.
Could you please clarify when USCIS transfers the case to NVC after I-140 approval and when Welcome Letter from NVC typically arrives? Does this happen shortly after approval (even if the PD is not current), or only when the PD becomes current? TIA!
SIJS
Hi, good morning! How are you all doing?
I’m currently in the process of SIJS and I’m feeling a bit scared.
I have deferred action and I’m just waiting for my I-485 — my priority date is September 23, 2023.
Do you think I’m at risk of deportation? And how long do you estimate it might take for my date to be current?
(I came through the border and my removal case has been terminated.)
What makes the processing time get longer and longer??
Shouldn’t there be a fast track for marriage licenses? especially if the couple doesn’t live in the US yet and got legally married in a different country and various other clear indications that it’s not fraud?
