Case Processing
pending AOS while on H-1B and administrative processing and having AP
Hello ,
Has anyone enterd US through AP while their H-1B in administrative processing through advance parole ?
My employer attorney insists that it is risky since H1B is in administrative processing and he said CBP officer may question you about it and deny your entry if the administrative processing was for security reasons.
Inquiry Regarding Delay in I-130 (F2B) Petition
My name is max, and I was born in Iran. In 2017, I filed Form I-130 under the F2B category for immigration to the United States. Below are the details of my case:
• Filing Date: October 13, 2017
• Initial Office: Los Angeles
• Case Transfer: On May 27, 2020, my case was transferred to the Vermont Service Center.
The last update on my case was on May 27, 2020, when USCIS stated that my case had been transferred to another office, which now has jurisdiction over it. The exact text of the update is as follows:
May 27, 2020 – Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction
On May 27, 2020, we transferred your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, Receipt Number WAC…….., to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by June 26, 2020, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
However, after 7 years and 4 months since filing my petition, and 4 years and 8 months since the transfer to Vermont, there has been no further update or approval. Many individuals who applied after me have already received their approvals and NVC welcome letters. Despite multiple follow-ups through USCIS online service requests and phone inquiries, I have not received any response.
Additionally, since my mother has become a U.S. citizen, I am now eligible for the F1 category as well. However, I have not seen any change in my case status.
I would appreciate your guidance on the following:
1. Is this level of delay normal?
2. Is there any way to expedite the processing of my case?
3. Could the transfer to Vermont be the reason for this delay?
4. What steps do you recommend I take next?
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Best regards,
Max – Born in Iran

SEVIS transfer and New I-20 while I-485 priority date being current
I'm a graduate student with F1 status and an approved I-140. I’m wondering if I have to transfer my SEVIS to another university and obtain a new I-20 while my priority date becomes current (meaning I’m eligible to apply for I-485 but haven't applied yet), will it be a problem? #F1 #SEVIS_TRANSFER #I-485
#SIJ GREEN CARD
MY PRIORITY DATE on my receipt(form I-797C) showing march 2023.
My lawyer applied my green card near to that date. I got my biometrics appointment and its been 1.7 years now since that biometric update.
Now i got a problem, My Lawyer is saying they rejected my green card because of priority date but i can’t able to see any rejection update on my status neither on this app nor on official website of USCIS and he is saying we have to apply it again when my priority date will be there and have to pay their fees again which is i think $1400 something because he is saying they didn’t refund the fees of $1225 i paid when i applied at first place
So what you guys think, My lawyer is trying to steal more money or there could be something else. can someone please put some light on this. Thank you everyone in advance
