Case Processing
Wanted some field back about legal services idea I have.
Hi 👋I was approved almost a year ago and got my green card. This forum helped me so much. I had break downs so often about the process. I am from Canada 🇨🇦 and my first language is English. I feel like there is such a lack of help for people going through immigration and especially for people who are not fluent in English. I feel there needs to be more patient people wanting to help others through immigration.
My husband is a lawyer in Michigan. He does not do immigration but he is thinking about doing immigration and I would be his paralegal (I already am just not immigration). So my idea is to try and offer some assistance to people at reasonable prices. From what I read on this forum, many people need help with questions and advice that cannot be reached without legal advice. I would like to get feedback and know if this is something you would use. For example, if someone has questions but can do their own application. I was thinking my husband could do 20-30 up to an hour if needed and charge reasonable and affordable prices.
I already ask him so much when I read through peoples posts and try to help when I have info to offer. I would love feedback if you feel this could be helpful. He would offer this via video call so things are gone over with a real person talking to you and answering questions/concerns. Also to look at documents.
San Francisco Field Office desicion after interview
I completed my EB3 green card (I-485) interview on September 26, 2025, at the San Francisco Field Office. During the interview, the officer mentioned that I would receive a response within a week, but it has now been more than 6 weeks, and I still haven’t heard anything from USCIS.
I’d like to ask if anyone else who had their interview at the same office has received a decision yet, and how long it took for USCIS to respond.
My priority date is December 6, 2022, under the “All Other Countries” category.

I-130 Returned back to USCIS
Hi friends. I had interview about 5 months back for both 130 and 485. My I-130 was approved but mistakenly send to the NVC meanwhile I am adjusting status within the US. After several months on calling and requests, I was emailed last week by NVC saying they have sent it back to USCIS for administrative action.
Has anyone gone through this same issue before?
How long will USCIS take to continue working on it?
Since I had interview already 5 months ago, should I just be waiting on a decision or I will still have to go under review?
please advice.
Thanks.

EAD Hardship Question and Unfair Processing Times
Hi everyone. I have an approved EB1A, ROW, current PD, etc.
I applied for i-485 and EAD in March. Biometrics in April. I still haven't even gotten my EAD.
My STEM OPT expires on January 8th and I am freaking out. Many people who applied months after me have already been approved, like those who applied in August and September. And I know there are people who applied before me who still haven't been approved.
Why are processing times random like this? It's so unfair. Do they not realize that people have been waiting almost a year while they process people whose cases were submitted weeks ago?
Sincere question, if you can answer it -->
Do they not take into consideration someone's legal status, such as when it expires and when their current work authorization expires??!
The earliest I can inquire is December 5th! If I do a "financial hardship" thing, would it work?
I feel like those who live near big field offices will always be delayed as they have a higher chance of getting interviewed so it goes to those big local FO, like mine at San Antonio. People who live in or near these major hubs will be waiting quite some time because those small non-local ones have faster processing times. Just my two cents.
questions
Anyone who filed in February for i485 after Vawa approval seeing any movement.
I received another receipt notice yesterday with Texas SCOPS address on there. I filed at Nebraska got transferred notice to Vermont now another receipt notice with Texas.
What does this mean?
Am so confused
I also noticed from this app that persons who are being approved for i485 are those who filed together in 2021 and 2022 with an approval for Vawa from last year.
anyone with a Vawa approval from last year but filed their i485 this year got any approval?
