Congressman assistance
I contacted my congressman for assistance in reaching out to USCIS. The first response I received last year indicated that my case was under security background checks.
In November 2025, I contacted my congressman again to request another inquiry with USCIS, and this was the response they provided:
On June 15, 2021, your constituent filed Form I-360, Petition for Amerasian, Widow(er), or Special Immigrant, with USCIS.
Your constituent’s Form I-360 is currently pending processing at the Vermont Service Center (VSC).
On September 22, 2025, the Vermont Service Center issued an extension of the Prima Facie Determination (PFD) letter.
USCIS is conducting further review of the case. At this time, no timeframe can be provided for completion. Once the additional review is finalized, USCIS will take adjudicative action on the petition.
Is this considered a good sign?

Hi all,
I applied for I-130 Application for spouse back dec28, 24 in California . I still haven’t received any update on my case yet. I’m a us citizen. Anyone here with some timeline? or Does anyone know when I can expect to get my case approved? Thank you!

Al 12 de enero 2026, Sigue la embajada en 🇩🇴 en este 2026 trabajando aun apenas octubre 2024 familiares IR/CR no se a que punto llegaremos pero cada vez se mueven mas y mas lentos, apenas en mayo estarán ya como en enero 2025 que si lanzan una proyección verán cerrarán 2026 con más atrasos con DQ como hasta junio 2025,
Da pena y vergüenza ese manejo tan horrible con los IR o CR, los F ya están a 5 meses del DQ de los inmediatos han avanzado mas de 2 años mientras los IR se mueven a paso de tortuga.
Tengo mucha rabia con esa embajada y su abuso que espero dios les mande su karma a todos y cada 1 por los abusadores son.

Does anybody has any experience with rescheduling the interview for the same day ?

My husband (dependent) was schedule for the interview and after 2/3 weeks I was scheduled for 1 month later than him. I’d like to do the interview with him because it is earlier. Any thoughts?
