Case Processing
Finally!!
It all only took 5 months. Interview was May 1st. Oath Ceremony May 22nd. I had a decently complex application. I was out of the country for more than 6 months but less than a year with no solid proof of continued residence in USA. I also had a few traffic violations. I didn't use a lawyer. interview took less than 10 minutes. Easy Civics questions. Finally at the end of my journey đđŸ

submitted all docs on 4/23 and got DQâd today 5/2, but I received this message although my income is over the minimum
The income reported as stated on form I-864, I-864A is insufficient to overcome the public charge grounds of inadmissibility for visa issuance. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos and https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p. A consular officer will decide if you meet these requirements at the time of the interview. Note: You, as the sponsor, and any other sponsors household members and joint sponsors, must provide updated or additional evidence for the applicant to present at the time of their interview such as: * Other income * Assets * Proof of current employment Note: You submitted documentation to the National Visa Center through the Consular Electronic Application Center CEAC. You can continue to upload documents to CEAC up until the date of your visa interview.

From K-1 to Green Card: The Wait Is Tough, But So Are Youâ
To everyone still waiting on their adjustment of statusâhang in there. I just received my green card today, and I want to share my experience to remind you that your moment is coming too.
I entered the U.S. on a K-1 visa, went through the whirlwind of wedding planning, filing for adjustment of status, and waiting through long months filled with uncertainty. I had my green card interview on April 23, and honestlyâit was simpler than I expected. The officer was kind, and the questions were just the basics from the I-485 form. It felt more like a formal chat than a test.
And then todayâit happened. I held my green card in my hands. That feeling? Relief. Joy. Gratitude.
To those still in line: I know how heavy the wait can be. There are days when you overthink everything, worry about missing something, and wonder if itâs ever going to move. But it does move. Quietly, behind the scenes, your case is being worked on.
So stay strong. Keep everything organized. Keep showing up with patience and honesty. And know that you are not alone. I was in your shoes just days agoâand now Iâm on the other side, cheering for you.
Your time is coming. Donât give up

my case is approved. There are many informations required for my country USâs consulate. My husband will be a US citizen in June next year. Do you think should I wait my husband get a US citizenship or I go back my country for VISA interview? Iâm just worries now because of President Trumpâs governer. If I wait unti next year how long I can keep my case approve status?
RFE (I-130)
Day 25 of waiting for USCIS to make a decision after we submitted our response to their RFE. I hope it will not be longer than a 2 month wait. My husband and I have suffered so much financially. I actually suffered the most. And my studies have been put on hold. We just want to start our life togetherâŠ
Itâs honestly a joke that USCIS makes you go through a second waiting game if you get an RFE letter.
I hope this month we will be see the approval. We should have been approved in March like many other December 2023 filers were. Unfortunately, we got an RFE letter. And for what? Oh, our marriage certificate literally just needed to be translated to complete English. That. Is. All. đ

The process is so sad itâs almost a joke đ€Ł âActively Under Reviewâ for 19 months now. Yes Iâm sure it takes multiple years to investigate if a 8 year marriage with 2 children is real or fake đ€Ł
I genuinely wonder what kind of clowns run the USCIS đ€Ą
