F2B to F1
Hi everyone,
My mom filed i-130 for me as F2B in 2020. However she's having her citizenship interview next month.
I heard that once my mom become the citizen, my case will automatically updated to F1. However on some sources I saw people saying that F1 could be process longer than F2B and we have to call Uscis to not upgrade our case and keep it as F2B.
Any advice?
All advices are appreciated 🙏🏻
inquiry
so I just recieved this from my senator ..after they had moved my case from local field office to Vermont to National benefit center .I do not know what they are talking about since I have never had a criminal record here in the states or in my home country .Man they are bizarre I do not understand this
S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records confirm that your constituent’s case is pending at this time. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely and efficient manner while also ensuring public safety, national security and compliance with all relevant directives. While the processing steps for most applications or petitions are completed quickly, a small percentage of cases involve unresolved issues that may result in adjudication delays. For example, if our review reveals an issue that may impact an individual’s eligibility for the requested immigration benefit, further inquiry is needed. The inquiry may include an additional interview and/or contact with another agency for updates or more comprehensive information.
We understand that your constituent may be frustrated by the progress of their case. However, USCIS must balance individual inconvenience against broader issues of public safety and national security.

what’s next after RFIE
hi all. My wife recently got an RFIE for her birth certificate which we have since sent and has been acknowledged by USCIS. I did separate I-140 and I-485 filings, my documents are at NBC and I sent my I-485J as well as medicals with my filing.
Does the fact that they sent an RFIE indicate that my application is being reviewed? and if so, what’s next?
EB1C - PD current (October 2023) - cross chargeability under ROW. I-140 approved in January 2024. I-485 filed in March 2024 and RFIE received and responded to in May 2024.
Thank you for your input.
