Case Approved
Case Approved after (almost) 1 year waiting!
Hey guys, I have received the AWESOME news that my GC is being produced just 2 days ago, and decided to share to give you guys a little hope😊
I entered the USA as a B-1 and changed my status to a F2 so that I could finish school. In the meantime, I met my husband and we decided to apply August of 2020. I turned in all papers and forms necessary, and got one RFE asking for the I-944 (which I thought had been waived but it wasn't) in October. After that, it took me months to hear back from them. We moved to a new place, and as soon as we asked for a change of address I finally received my biometrics appointment.
After that, our interview was scheduled. We showed up with all documents necessary showing that we are married (PS if you're having your interview soon, bring everything you can, from bills to letters from the family for you and your spouse). The officer was so nice, and even though she didn't say we were approved at the spot, she let me know I'd be getting my card from 2-3 weeks on the mail🥰
I felt like sharing this here so any of you who are still waiting can feel a little hopeful🙏 I promise you it's all worth it. Good luck on each of you guys' journey❤️

Marriage based AOS Detroit Field Office
Marriage based concurrent filing with a previous approved I-129F that we withdrew adjusting from VWP/ESTA
PD December 22nd, 2020
We entered the building 15 minutes before our interview time. We were called back for our interview about 20 minutes after the scheduled time. After taking the oath, the interviewer mentioned that he got confused when he first looked at our file due to our previously approved I-129F, which I stated had been the initial plan but due to COVID our situation changed and he acknowledged he understood this.
He asked what new evidence we wanted to submit and I showed him a whole binder with paperwork. I went through what we had and he chose what to submit. He ended up taking my last 7 months of pay stubs, our 2020 taxes, car loan paperwork, proof of our health/car/life insurance and some updated pictures.
The officer went through the information and questions from the I-130 and I-485. The only thing he updated was my husbands employment.
The only question he asked is “How did you meet?”
He then stated he was approving our case and that we should received the green card within 7-10 days. He went over the process for removal of conditions and had us sign a form acknowledging that we understood we would need to apply for removal of conditions in 1 year and 9 months.

smooth interview, approved on spot
did a smooth interview today at nyc field office. arrived 15 min early. waited 1.5 hours to be called on. the IO was very nice and professional. after the oath, she went over our doc while asking questions like our names and DOB and our marriage date and how our relationship developed etc. It took about 20-25 min and in the end she informed that the green card will arrive in 3 weeks. a good experience overall. at 7 pm the status changed to new card being produced. so friends don’t be over stressed. hope everyone waiting get a positive answer ASAP!
