How long is it to get I-485 (EB3-1) approved after transfer to Field Office?
Hi all,
Here is my case history (also posting my history)-
- 4/16/2021 765/131/485 (with Surgeon Medical Exam) received at Nebraska Center
- Sep 2021 Biometrics recorded in my file
- 4/29/2022 Transfer to NBC
-5/02/2022 Transfer to FO (San Juan, PR)
-5/31/2022 FO replied, my application is in pending and within 120 days they will make decision or send information request
I never got the notice letter but it was updated on my USCIS account. However, it does not say which Field Office was my case transferred to (after arriving in NBC).
I found it out a week ago after trying to get that answer from Emma. This morning I got the email notification from San Juan FO after sending request a few days ago.

I got the notice (after sending request) this morning, and it says, "Your application is still pending. At this time, we anticipate you should receive a decision or other notice from USCIS within 120 days of this notice."

Question 1- Does anyone know "120 days" is just a standard reply to the request?
Question 2- Do I need to send another request sometime, a week later?

Got GC on hand but no SSN
I received my GC on 5/5/2022 but no SSN. I brought my GC to apply for SSN a week later, and now I’m still waiting for my SSN to arrive. The SSA people said they could not verify my info, so they have to do it manually. They said I should receive it within 2 weeks but its already more than 2 weeks and I dont receive anything.
How much longer do I have to wait? I want to start working asap.

I-485 was transferred from Texas to NBC (04/26) followed by Atlanta on 04/27 . approved on 05/30 without interview

to anyone who is still waiting for their approval, it will happen. I was one of those people who would check this community and the Reddit group very frequently like multiple times a day to gauge the timelines for the AOS approval for NIW applicants.
