God is good 🙏🏻
I can’t believe this day is finally here. I got my green card.
It’s hard to put into words what this means to me. This journey hasn’t been easy—it’s been full of challenges, patience, and hope. But today, it feels like all of it was worth it. Good luck to everyone 😊

L1 to EB1C, Principal Applicant’s Green Card Approved, Dependent Still Waiting – Need Advice!
Hi everyone,
My husband and I applied for green cards through the L1A to EB1C route, and I’m hoping to hear from others with similar experiences. Here’s our situation:
1. September 2021: We submitted our I-485 Adjustment of Status applications together under EB1C.
2. Early 2023: Our applications were denied by USCIS. With the help of our lawyer, we appealed the decision.
3. September 2023: Our appeal was successful, and the case was reopened with the status updated to “Reopened.”
4. April 2024: My husband (the principal applicant) received his green card, but I, as his dependent, have not received any updates on my green card approval.
5. As of now (November 2024), my case status remains unchanged.
My questions are:
• Is it normal for a dependent’s green card approval to be delayed after the principal applicant’s approval?
• Have others experienced similar delays, where the principal applicant’s green card is issued first, and the dependent’s case takes much longer?
• What can I do to expedite the process or at least get some clarity on my case?
Additional information:
• We filed our I-485 applications together, and my dependent case should be tied to my husband’s application.
• I completed biometrics a while ago and have not received any Request for Evidence (RFE) notices.
• My case is still marked as being processed but has exceeded the normal processing time listed on the USCIS website.
I’m feeling very anxious and have already contacted USCIS customer service, but their responses have been vague. My lawyer is following up as well, but progress has been slow. I’d really appreciate any advice or insights, especially if you’ve faced something similar.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Emma or live agent doesn't have an accurate info
I came to a point after a lot of research that Live agents and online accounts are all crap and have the wrong information, Live agents will tell you a different story but in real you will see different outcomes, 90% of people who asked live agents were informed interview was scheduled or waived but in real it was either not waived or either not scheduled, Online account is the biggest lie some people will see they are on step 4 and some are on step 3 but my real story is totally different so I will say don't stress about these things and just live your life because this hard time will go away soon. let me know if you guys wanted to share your online or live chat experience and then what was the outcome?
how normal is this? I’m currently on ‘case decision’ for i765, i485, i131 and i130 says 7 months till decision?
i sent medical records and birth certificate with package!

Update: Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview
I just got an update today 11/26:
"Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview".
EB-3 ROW.
PD : Oct 2022.
Date of Filing: May 29, 2024.
I have combo card already(I-765 and I-130) approved in September 2024.
I am dependent/derivative applicant. My spouse already has her I-485 approved and she did not have to interview, it was directly approved.
1. Is an interview for EB-3 dependent normal? Should I be worried?
2. Give I am current, can I expect sooner interview dates? I am located near "Seattle" FO.
3. I am current as of current bulletin. If I get my interview scheduled very late and if I am not current by then, will this affect my timelines for approval ?
Thanks in advance!

Scared to use 131
Hi 👋 I had my travel document approved last week and I am very happy but I am also very scared to use it. I am scared that I will get issued a NOID while out of the country. I have so much fear that they will try to say that I misrepresented myself when coming into the country as I got married a few days after crossing on a B2 from Canada (we don’t need visas that we apply for, we just tell the border guard).
I realize this may seem like an irrational fear but it is still my fear.
Not sure why I am posting this…? Maybe 🤔 the people on this app are the only ones I can actually share my fears with. My mum is sick and I don’t want to be selfish and be fearful but she also tells me to not risk things. My aunt is with her for another month and then I will likely go.
My file is still at NBC no field office yet. Wishing everyone the best.
