Derivative I-485 "Case Remains Pending" Despite Current Priority Date
Today, my spouse’s case status (as a derivative applicant under my EB1A AOS) changed to “Case Remains Pending,” even though our priority date is current (EB1 ROW). My own case was approved earlier this month. Has anyone else experienced something similar?
UPDATE: the status changed to "New Card is Being Produced" one day later.
i693 Name confusion please help 😨😕
i received my EAD (category C31) after my VAWA approval. On my EAD, my first and last name are correct, but my middle name is shown only as an initial. I presented my EAD to the civil surgeon, and they used the middle initial on my Form I-693. However, my VAWA approval notice spells out my full middle name. Will the difference between using the middle name initial (on my EAD and I-693) and the full middle name (on my VAWA approval) cause a problem with my AOS?

485 and 130
I applied for I-485 I-130 on December 27th but since the system showed that USPS lost the file, I sent it again on January 15th. The file I sent on December 27th did not appear to be approved in the USPS system but it was forwarded to UCSIC. The file I sent on January 15th was also forwarded. I applied to withdraw the second file I sent on January 31st and April 10th but there is no update. I currently have 2 active I-485 and I-130 files. How will this affect my process?#

I recently had my green card interview, and overall, it was a surprisingly positive experience. The interviewing officer was super nice and genuinely curious, which helped. The questions asked were pretty straightforward, mainly focusing on verifying the information provided in my application.
For anyone preparing for their interview, my biggest recommendation is to bring any and all documents that you believe could be relevant to demonstrating the legitimacy ("bonafide") of your case. In my experience, having a comprehensive collection of documents such as joint bank statements, leases, utility bills, photos, and travel itineraries proved to be beneficial.
While every interview is unique, I left feeling that being well-prepared with documentation and encountering a friendly officer made the process much smoother than I had anticipated. Good luck to everyone going through this!
