VAWA
Hello,
I am currently handling my parents' immigration case since they don’t speak English, and I take care of all their paperwork. Their attorney filed for VAWA, I-765, and I-485. The I-765 was filed under category C31.
I’ve been trying to educate myself on immigration law, and I read that since the attorney submitted the I-485, my parents are eligible for a work permit under C09. I emailed the paralegal and asked if they could file an I-765 under C09, but she replied saying it would cost $1,000 for both cases, plus $200 to file even though my parents already paid the firm $8,000. It sounds ridiculous to pay all that.
Do you have any advice on what I can do? This sounds like it could be the law firm’s mistake.

confused about making us is account
I am a f1 who came to USA 3 years ago and applied for asylum in Jan 2025, now I m married to a us citizen and thinking of applying for marriage based green card since asylum is taking too long. I have an online account with uscis ( asylum pending) and I wa thinking to make another account for my green card application
I have already use my number and email for the asylum account,
so do I file thru mail or make another account for my marriage based green card application???
should I just use the same account to file i130
or I should let my husband make an online account using his number and email ????
which is better online or thru mail
Thankyou :) suggestions appreciated

extension
Hi everyone, I need some advice. My H-1B is valid until October 16. I filed for an extension on September 4, and I have all the supporting documents.
However, USCIS later said they did not receive the package, so I re-sent the application in the first week of October. With the government shutdown situation, I’m not sure if I’ll receive the receipt notice on time.
Has anyone faced a similar situation? What happens to my status if the receipt doesn’t arrive before my current H-1B expires
since last year I sent my last evidence till now, no response or anything. My case is not advancing . I cases behind me getting ahead of mine. I don’t know what is really going on.
