anyone here got married twice and file for second one? the first marriage was divorced but she try to help to petitioner then she cheated and ask for divorce then 2 yrs after the guy decided to marry again while he is in F1 status but want to file i130? hows the interview? any advice? helping a friend

hello everyone, has anyone gotten I-130 approval from California Service Center? I applied for my mom and PD is October 27, 2023. Haven’t gotten much update and worried when she will get approval and transfer her case to NVC?

Is it called I-824 because of the days it take to complete?
My attorney, who generally has a good reputation, unfortunately made a terrible mistake with my case and marked the I-140 as AOS instead of consular, when I EXPLICITLY asked for consular processing. I learned about this only when the approval notice arrived, so they proceeded to file an I-824 to move my approved case to the NVC, and I'm still waiting to this day, outside the US, wasting time and without a chance to enter with a B2 in the meantime because of course I have intent to immigrate.
He and the firm never apologized for this.
Today is day 292 of extra waiting, courtesy of my lovely attorney.

I got my EAD & advance parole approved already
my 1-130 was approved feb 16th 2024
do you guys kno how much longer of a process will it takes to appproved the 1-485 ???
working before receiving the green card
1.Does it have a negative effect if you don’t work for your sponsor before receiving the green card if you already have an ead?
2.Can the sponsor force me to work before receiving a green card?
3.How do I explain it during an interview if they ask why don’t I work with my ead?
Case at Field Office
Called USCIS today and ask if my case was transferred to the field office and they told me yes. It’s been at the Mt Laurel field office since June 2024. I filed Feb 23, 2024. Anyone have any experience with their case being at their field office and how long has it been because it’s been practically 7 months there. My case status for both I -130 and I-485 are currently at the decision step and both says 2 months until decision. Care to share you opinion, experience anything that will give me some peace of mind, will be gladly welcomed. Also can I call the field office for an update?

still waiting. went to my field office and they said they were supposed to get my case back in October but they don’t know what happened.
inquiry through congress person and received this:
this case has been sent for expedited processing and is currently under review by an adjudications officer. however; due to workload factors not related to the applicants case, USCIS anticipates a delay.
