hi guys
I change to a new company last year. my lawyer file for the i485j 6 month ago via mail. But I never got any response back from uscis. Not even a confirmation letter that they got the case and give me a case number. now all I have is a FedEx tracking number from when my lawyer sent it to uscis. is it normal?? and do I contact uscis about this? thank you
After I have received combo card (C09) for 5 years, is visa stamping required for H1B if I travel out of US?
3 weeks ago I have received combo card (C09) for 5 years and I was on H1B status till then. I am planning to travel out of US in this summer.

Guys, today USCIS sent me another RFE, the first one was for medical exams. I know they can send an RFE request for anything (I haven't received the RFE yet), but I'm pretty sure they'll ask for an RFE for Supplement J. My question is, I left my job after I received the RFE for the medical exams in January. Do you think this could affect me? Or is it okay if I left work? I was thinking about asking to go back to work as soon as possible, since I haven't been removed from the system yet.

My lawyer applied through Vermont, but I sometimes see people commenting about Nebraska, which seems much faster. Does anyone know the difference?

What are the most common RFE requests that an application for a parent of USC could receive? because I can’t even imagine what they’d be requesting, since we sent in everything translated, complete medical package and affidavit of support. Besides translation, medical and affidavit of support, what are other common RFEs? Police background from home country? Thanks!! (btw I cannot see the notice online yet. Maybe tomorrow it’ll be uploaded to MyUSCIS

Applications for people born in my country get an almost guaranteed RFE about birth certificate. My lawyer was quite proactive about it and attached a few other proofs (high school certificate, mark sheets, etc) with the original application. Looks like it worked.
