So on 3/5 I received a letter RFE to prove that we have a bonfide marriage. Mind you when I initially submitted the I-130 I sent all we had at the time, I also uploaded documents as soon as we have anything new like our joint taxes when we sign our lease life insurance, health insurance joint bank account which we had a year before we got married, marriage certificate, wedding pictures, pictures of trip that we travelled outside of the country on an advanced parole, like almost everything not to mention we brought those to the interview, the lady interviewed my husband forever while I am still in the waiting area with no idea what’s happening then she took me after that for less than 5 minutes to tell me he has a NY drivers license and we don’t have a real marriage. We also took all these documents with us which I handed to my husband when she called him in, he said she keep asking what do we have to prove and he said she kept saying this is nothing show me something else very intimidatingly. So now how is it that all these were presented and was never used to assess the validity of our marriage but they are sending back for the same documents to prove that this is a legitimate marriage? I’m so confused as to what this woman recommended when we went, because she gave him hell the moment she called his name until we left it was so disappointing.

Married to a US citizen. my 3 year anniversary of green card is coming up in June with possibility to file early later this month. Any reasons to not file early?

HI guys I submitted my travel permit renewal September 2023, no update till today and I requested expedite service because my dad has a serious illness, I provided them Medical report and proof of relationship, I sent them 28 February by FAX but no update yet. does someone know ? how long does it take to be approved?

Hi guys I submitted my I-485 02/12/25 almost a month now and I’m yet to receive my receipt notice pls is this normal?

If the foreign spouse's family doesn't know about the US Spouse is that a red flag even if the relationship is genuine?

Could it raise a red flag with USCIS if the foreign spouse comes from a strict cultural background (with privacy concerns) and their family is unaware of the U.S. spouse? Could this become an issue during the Consulate interview, particularly if they ask why the U.S. spouse's family is aware of the relationship, but the foreign spouse's family is not or seems disinterested in that part of the foreign spouse's life?

My case has been on 'case received' for 3 years already. No Prima Facie, no RFE, only biometrics. Immigration did say that they will have an answer on Monday, what do you guys think? Will it be barely the Prima Facie letter or a decision on my case? Who else is having the same situation? Thank you so much for your info! I will be reading every comment. anyone knows why it shows to my USCIS account the current step : case decision and the progress time: your case is taking longer than we estimated but it is within normal processing time.

We have filed on september 2023 and still case status is being actively reviewed appears Does anyone know how to contact congressman office, does it affect anything in positive response ?
