Medicals
Can anyone confirm that the 60 day rule doesnt apply to medicals anymore, meaning if you get a civil surgeon to sign your medicals they can be submitted to uscis anytime afterwards and not necessarily within 60 days of the surgeon signing? My Vawa case is pending but I want the medicals to be ready and sent asap once VAWA is approved and I get an rfe for i693.

I totally get wanting to be ready ahead of time especially with how long these processes can take. Just a gentle heads up though, while it’s a good idea to plan, it might be a bit premature to assume USCIS will definitely ask for medicals right after VAWA approval. We all wish we can foretell. That said, you’re actually right that the 60 day rule is no longer in effect. USCIS removed it in Dec 2022, so a civil surgeon’s signed I693 is now valid for 2 years and can be submitted anytime within that period even after an RFE. Hopefully it works out for you! Goodluck🙏🏽
