my case was finally approved
My interview was in Atlanta. I thought my case would be a bit more difficult and I was about to hire my lawyer to go with me to the interview — I’m glad I didn’t.
The interview was super easy. The officer only asked for our names and then went straight to the Yes and No questions from my I-485 form. It wasn’t complicated at all. She didn’t check any of our evidence.
I wasn’t approved on the spot; they just gave me a paper saying they were going to continue working on my case. But the next day, my I-130 was approved, and the day after that, my I-485 was approved too.
I’m currently waiting for my green card to arrive, but all I can say is: trust your process. Everything will come when it’s meant to. Best of luck to everyone!

L1a extension - abroad or U.S.?
hi! looking for POV/advice here.
In the process of filing for L1A extension (Expires on dec 2025) - EB1C GC i-485 currently pending. two scenarios:
-file for extension within the US (Lawyers are highlighting the fact that USCIS is being more strict and there’s more scrutiny for employment based cases, and denials and RFEs are more common (in case of denial i guess i will still be protected by the pending i485)
-go abroad and stamp in the consulate, which apparently is more easy, but if i leave and extension gets denied i will be stuck abroad without being able to come back in
any experiences? how true is it that USCIS is deniying more L1 extensions and cases?

Been waiting since October 2022 for my 10 year! Got a request for more evidence in September 2024 which they just needed my divorce decree and then my case was transferred to the national benefits center of November 2024. Haven’t heard anything since! My lawyer has advised to not go for my citizenship this month until after I get my 10 year.
Does anyone have the same problem or any advice?

hey everone just recived an update e-mail from uscis this morning. status updated-case processing, but i found an approval letter on document section. my case was in vermont but approval letter send from Texas service. PD-May 18/2024....wish everyone luck and God be with you in your journey 🙏🙏

I was able to speak to the USCIS officer over the phone with my sister as she is the applicant and they confirmed that our case moved from the national benefit center NBC to the field office in Hartford since April. so right now we are waiting on either a interview or approval notice without an interview
anyone else through Vawa has a i485 pending ?

guys so I’m 68 days post interview. I decided to try the API link. chat gpt told me the FTA1 code means the system is saying I did not attend an interview or it can also mean my case is under review. i got a number from chat gpt to call and so I did. luckily I got intouch with an agent who stated that there is definitely an error. so a request was made for the center to reach out to us. please try it guys. you will never know what going on with your case. hopefully this will lead to an approval today, tomorrow, this week and indeed this month. prayers up

Adjustment of Status
can anyone help me with the following information:
1). I got my EB1A approved, I want to do the adjustment of status for my wife and I, and I want to do advance parole and EAD with the filling. How should I go about it? I know that the I-485 can only be submitted by paper based. should I fill the Advance Parole and EAD online for my wife and myself? or what’s the best way to do this?
2). which USCIS address do I need to send the filing to for the paper based one(s)
form I-130 is submitted. next steps?
so i recently submitted form i-130 for my husband who is in Pakistan. he has never been to USA. i am a US citizen. i wanted to know if there is any way he can come here sooner just so we can start our life together. would i need to submit some kind of form so he can come here while he waits for the uscis approval. or come here on visit visa(dont know if that’ll get approved). but any way he can come here sooner would be nice. i heard i can also submit a k-1 visa afte i-130 so he can come sooner or the process for spouse visa is faster. but im not sure about it. i heard i-130 processing time is shorter now so k-3 visa is useless because you get i-130 approved before k-3 form is available. can you please guide me. thank you.
waiting for my interview
I have an interview coming up soon. I don't speak English very well, but I communicate well enough, especially when talking about my life, but my lawyer tells me that I need to get an interpreter because they have made the interviews difficult. Can anyone who has had an interview recently tell me how it went for you and do you think that an interpreter is definitely needed?Thank you 🙏🏻
