requested Congressional letter and inquiry
submitted AOS application Feb 06 IOE , requested Congressmen inquiry regarding delay in EAD , and DHS informed Congressional office staff that " expedited process cannot be completed until addition review process is completed," what does this mean , and update on status was last on March 14 ,
I’ve seen dozens of April/May 2022 cases. Do we have anyone from March?
I hae written an mandamus, from a successful applicant on Reddit. followed it step by step and got a rejection from court. I tried objecting it, however I still haven’t received response and that was 3 months ago.
I’m starting to lose my mind, a lot of you are in the same boat I’m aware, hopefully we all get approved soon. Peace to all of you, especially the ones with over 1000 days of waiting

EB1C Interview, still waiting after 3 months
I had my I-485 interview (EB-1C) at the end of February at the Oakland Park, FL Field Office, together with my wife. We also brought our lawyer for peace of mind, which turned out to be a great decision.
We were the first ones scheduled that morning, and the officer seemed polite but clearly stressed and in a rush. She mentioned right away that she had a lot of work to do and that since it was an employment-based interview, we’d be moving fast.
After we sat down and handed her our passports and IDs, I offered her additional documents — I had brought a full folder with proof of my role in the company, project examples, etc. But she brushed it off and said she didn’t care about my I-140 or job. Her words were something like: “I see you’re a manager, but this is an I-485 interview. Your I-140 is approved — I don’t have the time or interest to go over it again.”
So we jumped straight into the yes/no security questions while she filled out forms. Everything was smooth until she suddenly said she needed to ask some bona fide marriage questions.
Even our lawyer looked surprised — we’ve been married for over 3 years. But the officer insisted: “I know, but I still have to.”
That’s when things got a little messy. I blanked on the exact date I proposed (I said January 2021 instead of December 2021 — I just remembered it was in winter), and my wife corrected me, which made the officer pause and dig in. She asked more follow-up questions about our relationship — nothing aggressive, just detailed.
Our lawyer reassured us afterward that everything went fine. The officer ended the interview by saying:
“Everything looks good. I just need to confirm that your visa is available and then I’ll make a decision.”
(Spoiler: my priority date is current.)
it’s now been 3 months since the interview, and we still haven’t received a decision.
Not gonna lie, the delay is frustrating, especially when you feel like one awkward answer might be holding things up. But I’ve seen others in the same boat recently — especially EB-1C applicants — so I guess it’s part of the current trend.
Anyone else still waiting this long after the interview? Any updates or advice?

Travel on Parole to Africa
I just came back from West Africa on parole through IAD Washington Dullas- Virginia Airport ( Recieved by very friendly -deligent officers on duty) and wish to share the following information with you my family-
1. Do not be afraid to travel on parole, it is legal.
2. As long as you don't have a criminal record you are free to travel
3. Do not book your flight to transit through the Schengen countries because the advance parole of US is not recognized there. If you find yourself there by mistake, you will need a visa or American passport to leave
4. Be prepared and confident to answer a few questions on arrival at the secondary room. Questions like-
a. What is the purpose of your travel?
b. Where did you visit?
c. What is your current address in the US?
5. If you wish to travel on an expired passport of your country with the intention to renew it from home, ensure you book a direct flight from America to your home country-( no transit)
Even if an emergency travel certificate from your embassy was issued
That's all for now- (safe trip)......I had fun enjoying my local delicacy of Amala, Akpu, okro/ bitterleaf soup and fresh palm wine😁😁😁

Finally an update after interview. Although we got notifications yesterday that action has been taken on out cases, only today I-130 got approved. I-485 still remains “Interview was scheduled”. Wondering how long it will take to see the approval?

Hello Everyone,
Finally my turn to share good news after a year of Retrogression, waits and numerous service requests and Senator queries. Today morning received the update New cards being produced for self and family.
Had a medical RFE this month to resubmit as previous one was filed in Nov 2022 and expired. They received the response yesterday and approved the cases today.
I am grateful to this community for all the support. Hope this gives hope and excitement to others in waiting. Wishing everyone get their cases to be approved soon.
