VAWA is still pending but schedule for an interview?
Hi VAWA family!
I have a letter from USCIS.
My VAWA is still pending but I have a letter for a confirmation of my postal code to arrange an interview schedule regarding my I485. Currently I have a combo card based on the pending I485.
I don't understand why USCIS asks my postal code and wants to schedule an interview while my VAWA is still pending.
Has anyone of you a similar experience?

Question about Form I-131 (Refugee Travel Document) and Form I-485 (Green Card) submitted at the same time
My question is: If my Green Card application gets approved before my Refugee Travel Document is issued, will my Form I-131 application be denied or automatically canceled?
The thing is, even after receiving a Green Card, I still need the Refugee Travel Document because I cannot use my home country’s passport.
Has anyone experienced this situation?
Is there any way to avoid the I-131 being canceled in case the Green Card is approved first?

getting back together
My husband was abusive, and the police were called three times. I got a restraining order for a year then I changed it to a peaceful retraining order . I have pictures and evidence! After a year, he wanted to get back together, but I didn’t trust him. He’s now seeing a psychiatrist and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, which explains his anger issues. He’s on medication, stopped drinking, and is really trying to be better. I want to try again, but I’m scared of setbacks. I’m don’t want to withdraw my VAWA because I did experience domestic violence, but I don’t want USCIS to think it’s fraud. We’re going to counseling and taking things slowly. My lawyer said they might see it as fraud and to withdraw my application because it’s for people who want to leave their abusive husband. and I’m finding the easy way to get papers :/
