NVC Expedite Request
Hi. I about to submit an NVC Expedite Request based on a medical emergency for the petitioner.
I have a physician letter, physician notes and assessment, disciplinary reports from employer, prescriptions.
The physician’s note is written to emphasize the reality of the situation.
For those of you who have had success with the expedite requests, what else should I include to increase the likelihood of being accepted?
Thank You

Today
Passed my Interview, sharing my experience
Feild office: Honolulu (I flew in from Hawaii, the Big Island)
Lots of delays. IT systems were offline so it was manual testing, paper and pen old school style. lots of delays but everyone at this office is friendly and polite. Had to answer all 10 civics questions, got em all right!
-What is an amendment?
-What is the supreme law of the land?
-Who was president during the Depression & WW2?
-Who vetoes laws?
-Who makes federal laws?
-What is the capital of Hawaii?
-To what do we pledge allegiance to?
-Who did the US fight in WW2?
-When is the last day to file a tax return?
-Name a US Territory?
Reading and Written test were 3 passages relating to each other (Read: When is flag day?/ Write: Flag day is in June).
Interviewing officer was a super nice guy, respectful and patient and reminded me that I can always stop and ask him to repeat/clarify questions. He did not ask me to define any words nor sing the star spangled banner (which I read here that some people were asked about).
We then went over my application verifying background and eligibility. I reviewed and signed the Pledge of the allegiance. then an attempt was made for same day ceremony but as the systems were still offline, they couldn't upload my results to issue me the invitation, so I have to wait another 3-6 weeks for the oath ceremony letter to arrive in the post.
A good experience overall, so much easier and less stressful than my green card journey, just wish I didn't always have to fly in to Honolulu for every little step.
Hope this will help someone. Good luck to you all on your visa journey!

Directions to the field office in Honolulu:
500 Ala Moana Boulevard, Honolulu
From airport follow exit to "ground transport" ground floor, then go up again to Level 2 to catch the city bus #20 ($3 exact change, direction "Waikiki beach+hotels"). Duration ~40 mins. Ride shares also available in the same location.
Get off stop "Ala Moana Blvd + Opp South St" walk towards "Ruth's Chris Steak House" and keep walking though to the open courtyard where there are businesses and eateries to pass the time while waiting for your assigned interview slot.
USCIS offices are in building marked No.2 on the large glass frontage which has cafe umbrellas and seating outside.
The floor number is the first number of the room listed on the appointment letter (501 = floor 5).
Use of the field office restrooms only after passing through security. Must show your appointment letter and ID and have bags and containers checked.
The same day oath ceremony takes place at 2pm, so passing an early interview in the morning can mean swearing in and becoming a citizen by the end of the day.
Return bus to the airport (#20) can be caught at the bus stop shelter on "South Street + Auahi Steet", can take a little longer to return 45-60mins depending on time of day.

Traveling by air whiles waiting for my green card or social security card.
Good day.
I will be migrating to the States soon and upon arrival, I have to travel via air to another state for a friend's wedding. I would not have my green card, social security card, or state identification by the time I travel for the wedding. Unfortunately, the wedding ceremony is too far to drive so I'll have to go by plane.
Could you please advise if I can travel domestically by plane within the united states with a foreign passport that has an IR1 visa with any issues?
Thank you all in advance for the feedback.

Religious worker - Using EAD while GC is pending
My R-1 visa is going to expire soon. I got my EAD last October but didn’t use it yet. Now that we’re in retrogression, my attorneys said I can use my EAD and don’t have to file any extension of visa. Anyone in the same boat? What’s everyone doing during this retrogression?
