Got I693 RFE even though GC application status says no Visa available
Hi All,
My GC application had paused stating "We are temporarily pausing work on your application because an immigrant visa number is not immediately available to you." . My priority date is Oct 2013 which got current but retrogressed by the time application was in November 2022. However, on Jun 6th they sent me RFIE on Form I693 for missing vaccine. Does this mean they are still reviewing my application? What can I expect further? #I485
Two EADs
Has anyone received two EADs? After waiting for more than one year I got my EAD back in February. Yesterday my lawyer reached out to me saying that my EAD was approved. USCIS sent out a second one.
It looks like USCIS is all over the place. Not necessarily a good thing to receive two EADs. that just shows that the immigration office isn't communicating with all the different departments #ead #vawa
I-693 had been lost
Hi everyone! I have some non-standard situation. I sent my medical in January as per USCIS request. Two days ago I got mail that they have never received it and that is why I am not eligible for GC because we failed to submit what they asked. Literally the next day I took copy of my I-693 and my lawyer made an appeal (government fee $675! because they lost it) and we sent all package again (tracking number with time when original I-693 was received, copy of I-693, appeal letter). Does anyone have ever been in this situation?

Traveling outside the US while 485 is pending
Hi there,
I am currently in the US under H1b status, I will be filing for I-485 pretty soon.(My spouse is a permanent resident and will be sponsoring me, we have filed i-130 already and it is pending).
I plan to travel outside the US for family reasons in October. Ideally, I want to obtain the H1B visa in the foreign country and use that visa in order to get back to the US. (I have been in H1b status since a few years ago and never left the country since then).
Should I also apply for form I-131 Advance Parole? I feel like having an AP will be a back up option/safety measure just in case my H1b visa application doesn't go well or anything like that. Obviously I might have to escalate the Advance Parole (emergency AP).
Please let me know if my idea is wrong, thanks a lot!
Do I need to include original copy of i-130 receipt notice inside the I485 packet?
Hi there, I filed my I-130 online and I have received a receipt notice in mail as well as an electronic one online.
I am preparing for the I-485 packet, do I need to mail in the paper receipt or I can just print another copy and include that one.

The American Immigration Lawyers Association Conference 2023 is currently taking place in Orlando, Florida, where representatives from the Department of State, USCIS, and the Department of Labor are in attendance.

I-130/485 approved after interview
Had our I-485/130 combined interview at Atlanta field office. Everything went very well. The officer said case is approved on spot and should receive card in male in about 2-3 weeks. Feel free to ask questions!
