Approval
Hi everyone,
Happy to say we’re officially green! This morning got an update from Lawfully and checked on USCIS, my I-130 and I-485 were approved! For anyone who was following or with questions, PD 5/23/23, I-765/I-131/I-485/I-130 all filed concurrently, in-country, and we also sent in our medicals at the same time of submission. We got an RFE that our app form was the wrong edition, but that was an error on their part, we just resubmitted the same form and referred to the USCIS website. Biometrics for both I-765/I-485 was on 7/20/23 and then we received that same day “case being actively reviewed” status for I-765/I-485. Was definitely sad to never have gotten an approval in documents as we kept checking almost every day, but yesterday got an update that I-130 was now being “actively reviewed.” And today approval for both I-130 and I-485! NBC was our office for everything, we never had our field office changed. This community has been amazing and so supportive and a great source of info! All the anxiety and stress, it feels good to reach the finish line, praying for all of you to cross it soon as well 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏#approval
Interview
hi family, I did my interview today morning, it lasted about 30 minutes
we were asked to give a short story on how we met, asked if we knew each other’s kids
and that was it basically plus the 80 questions on the I 485. After the interview I asked the officer how we did and he told us we did good and should expect a mail in a very short time. my wife asked him what exactly is a short time? we all laughed and he promised it would be sooner.
status of both i130 & i485 turned to actively reviewing. Is that a good thing?
mine I485 interview was done then status changed to cancel.
I checked the day before. didn't get any update. I and my husband dressed this morning and went for the interview. The officer asked us 3 questions:
1) How we met.
2) who proposed
3) our first date.
Then proceeded to eligibility questions
after the interview, officer said I will get my card in few weeks.
we got home and I got the notification. Notification said interview was cancelled, I called USCIS and asked they said interview was cancelled this morning and waived.
days before I spoke to live agent and said I tot interview was waived because I got RFE stating that I should submit that some people interviews are waived. However this documents were not maintained on my acc. They promised to look into it. This was done after I prayed and fasted. I didn't get a response till this morning.
I am short of words.
In all I give God the glory. I prayed for interview to be cancelled even at the last minute. God proved himself but I didn't follow through.

what do you think is next? by the way did you guys experience connectivity issues with lawfully today? it has been down all day… when I was finally able to connect i saw the update on case status. hoping for good news soon.
