We got an RFE related to I-693 and I-865 in April 2023 and we responded with Civil Surgeon reports and other supporting documents.
So both of us received EAD cards and I -131 travel documents (combo card) a couple of months ago and my Wife left the States in July, 2023.
As of this week, my wife received an I-485 denial notice (August 21st) citing the reason that the RFE was not responded on-time.
However, we sent the response to RFE via FedEx on April 15th and the FedEx document was received and signed by a person called J.SMALLEY in Lee's Summit office. We also have the proof of FedEx tracking number information and receiver's copy from FedEx.
"Ask Emma" live agent in USCIS website recommends we open a I-290B and request to reopen the case.
any one get same reason
HELP no response after RFE
hi, we responded to an RFE back in April and didn’t hear back yet. What should I do? I tried calling multiple times but cant get past the automated system. Im getting uneasy from the lack of response since people got their decisions after a few days to weeks after the response for an RFE was made. thanks!

my case was approved after been waiting since last year September 22, 2022 to be precise. it was a long wait. but I finally got my interview notice and it was scheduled for the 13th of July. I went and after the short interview, the officer told us that I am approved but immigration office couldn’t find my medical exam report and she will needs to consult with her supervisor since I claim that I did the medical exam and deliver it at the port of entries. yesterday the 28th of august, I received another mail stating the request for rfe. I thought they couldn’t find my medical examination report. all GLORY TO GOD toDAY 29th of august I was approved and my case show’s status update (decision as been made) case approved
