how to apply for I485J?
I have waited for 13 years in EB2, my PD is current this October, but unfortunately I can't take my job anymore, it will be 180days since I applied for I485 in March next week and 5 days after that my I140 approval also will exceed 180days. I have an offer from a different company and I want to change jobs to save my mental and physical health. will my new employer apply for I485J or should I have to ? what can go wrong if I change jobs immediately after the 180days expiration? please help any one?
Hi everyone, I’ve recently married my American citizen fiancé and was looking at the adjustment of status process. Looking for a lawyer suggestions OR in your personal experience can I DIY this.
Hi everyone, as the title suggests and alittle more context, I came on F1 Visa, I’ve also applied the TPS myself and got approved, I have a 1 year EAD. My case is an adjustment of status case since I came to the US legally — to me it seems like a straight forward case. I spoke to a number of lawyers and the fees they charge is enormous I can’t wrap my head around. I’ve been quoted 10,000 without government fees.
Can someone pls suggest any good reasonably priced lawyers? It would also be easier for me to make a decision knowing how much it costs but every law firm wants to do consultation that costs at least $250 and it’s alittle hard to make a decision without spending thousands before even hiring a lawyer.
I was also contemplating on whether I should do the process myself. I’ve always been good with documents and never had an issue applying for visas around the world. My husband however does not want us to make any silly mistakes and is comfortable with getting it done through a lawyer. Appreciste any leads/help I can get with this.
thank you!
USCIS UPDATE
Hello family I just want share my timeline and to let everyone know my experience. It took USCIS 2 days to update my status to approved after I found my approval document in the document section so my advice is always check your USCIS account documents and don’t depend on notifications from uscis and other apps because none of my apps were correct when I had already received my approval in documents.#IR1 #k3 #dominicanrepublic

I485 case moved from non-local FO to NBC
Has anyone seen their I485 case move from a non-local FO back to NBC? My case was initially in NBC for a year and last month Emma told me it was in Phoenix FO. Then yesterday I was told it was in NBC. I’m not sure if this is a common thing and was wondering if others have had a similar experience.
My PD is January 2022 and I485 was filed on July 2022.
