update: my I 485 case is well and truly over processing time… awaiting for inquiry response!! 😡😡😡😡
this is getting ridiculous… no response… not acceptable!!! my lawyer put in for inquiry yesterday, remaining hopeful!! RFE was sent in June 2023 because the medical expired… no response from that either. everything submitted almost immediately well before their deadline too.
I also just found out from my attorney that because i have to communicate with the Vermont Service Center for the inquiry and because of confidentiality issues, they will take 2 to 4 weeks to respond, unfortunately to either the general inquiry or inquiry for escalation…. and… There is no statutory requirement for USCIS to respond after an RFE.
Now my EAD and Travel permits run out in feb 2024. it will take 10months to process that as well after re-filing. So will not be able to work, losing my job soon whilst that’s happening.
uscis are taking far too long look at cases… and issuing RFEs because of their own negligence.
My case is sitting in the VA/DC field office but inquiries are only allowed to be made to the Vermont center… my application is doing what exactly… !?!? collecting dust I presume at this point!! I have a concurrent filing 🤷♀️
