inconsistent information from Emma live chat agents
hi, we applied for I130 and I485 for parents (concurrent filing) in Jul 2022. Mom got EAD and AP, dad got only EAD. since dad’s AP is outside normal processing time, we approached congresswoman Oct 2023. We got a response from their office that USCIS sent a status saying dad’s AP will be sent for expedite processing and his I485 application maybe a potential interview waiver, it will soon to be sent to a non local FO. Yesterday I chatted with Emma live agent since it has been 2 months since we heard from congresswoman office. The agent said interview is “waved” and exited chat. Today again I chatted with another agent who said interview waiver is decided by the office (meaning it is not waived) and there is no expedite request on the AP.
so looks like the information we got from congresswoman office is not true. Did someone experience something similar? should we approach congresswoman again?
