Interview in Rio today
I had my visa interview in Rio today and walked away disappointed. They accepted all of my documents and the interview itself was fine, but they said that I was missing original certified copies of my husband‘s divorce decree. This is nothing that they’ve not asked for before, according to my attorney.
My husband gathered the documents and sent them off UPS overseas expedite at a cost of $153. The documents should arrive on Friday morning, but who knows when they’ll actually look at them.
Very saddened by this as I was hoping to be in the US by the end of February.
Question about I131 and I751
I am in the process of transitioning from a conditional 2-year green card to a permanent 10-year green card and have received a 48-month extension notice letter. I am planning to give birth in my home country. I plan to leave USA on June,2024 and come back on June 2025. Under these circumstances, is it possible for me to apply for an I-131 Re-entry Permit to allow me to remain outside the United States for an extended period exceeding six months?

EXPEDITE REQUEST
I'm speechless, after submitting an expedite request last year, I finally received a response today stating that the request was submitted to the Asylum division and wasn't even reviewed.
How could that be, I mean HOW could an Emma agent submit my expedite request to a totally different department when they have all my information before their eyes. Uscis need to fire everybody and hire motivated and adequate personnel. I don't even know what to do anymore
Whoever is losing hope God will see you through. See how my timeliness looks like. I saw friends, colleagues being approved since 2021 but still I was here waiting. EAD renewal 3 days ago now my GC

Case transfer 🙄
Just got a courtesy letter that my case has been transferred to the FO. Also the request for my medical.
I just contacted my Senator for the second time, but haven't gotten a response as yet. I'm just wondering if that's what did it🤔
I hope I get my approval as soon as I drop off my medical.

Finally Approved after more than 2 years
My case has been finally approved. After going through a RFE, Visa Bulletin being not current, upgrading the case to a US Citizen’s spouse, reaching out to a senator, finally got the news we wanted yesterday. We had lost hope lately but there’s light at the end of the tunnel.
Thanks to all the users here for sharing information and details which has been really helpful. Sharing my details and timeline here too. I started my case a Spouse of a GC holder and right when we thought my case was going to be approved, Visa Bulletin retrogressed and Visa was no longer current. My husband had to expedite filing for his USC so that he could upgrade my case to an Immediate Relative. Luckily his citizenship got approved in a short time and he requested for an upgrade. The whole upgrade process was very confusing and not structured. My husband reached out to the US Senator after two months and I am not sure if that triggered for my case to be approved but I am glad that this journey is finally over. I hope all of you hear your good news soon.
