How can I correct the priority date on my EB2 NIW approval notice with the USCIS?
I was approved of a EB2 NIW I-140 petition with a priority date of Nov 2023 which is retrogressed. However, I have a previously approved EB3 I-140 petition with an earlier priority date of Dec 2021, which is current for the EB2. When my EB2 NIW got approved the priority date was not recaptured automatically as I heard and thought it would. I am now seeking to request USCIS to recapture my earliest priority date. May I also point out that my approval notice has been forwarded to NVC, as I already received a welcome letter from them.
I welcome suggestions and advise from people with similar experiences.
My questions are:
1. How can I go about it? Because when I tried to raise a service request online, it asks for a US address ( STATE field is compulsory and includes only US States). I am applying outside the US, therefore can't use fill in this section of the form
2. Is this a complicated process? How long does it typically take? Is it advisable to send a letter by post to the USCIS Service Center?
Retrogression taking too long
This October is 3 years for total my processing time.
This May is 2 years my I-485 pending.
Seriously, how long do I expect to wait more?
Why did they leave it Current and then retrogression for 3 years straight?
It is a very undesirable thing that ever happening in my life. I think from May-August next years is the lastest that one could experience.
Kids around me already graduated college and ready to marry soon. What the hell that I’m doing with my life seriously?
RFE for birth certificate
Hi, i got RFE for birth certifica on February 2nd. after that i provided 3 responses to it because the first one was not the requested version, second one did not include the RFE letter, last one is the most accurate one. I uploaded them under unsolicted evindence. i am not sure if they will check all of them. is there anyone who had same experience? #rfe #birthcertificate #marriagebased
Interview done and then canceled
Hello, how are you?
I did my green card interview in Jun/2023 and in 03/2024 they put in the immigration system that my interview had been canceled. Remember that I did the interview, answered all the questions and didn't get any answer until the date I informed them that it was canceled. Has this happened to anyone here?
green card denied
my case was denied base on my previous marriage,that it was a sham, that I paid her through a facilitator. I need to prove that the previous marriage was not a sham. when we got married i came back to my base as we don't base in same state as at then, I was meant to come back for us to get a better place to stay but covid happened then, I couldn't go back because of the traveled restrictions due to covid. After some months her number was not going anymore no communication from her. Trying to reach her was to no avail , the man that was to guide us through the filing process she took me to was the only person I could get in touch with and he was telling me because of covid he hasn't see her too but he will try and when he sees her he will contact me though we already summited all the informations needed to for the filing process with him.i kept trying to get in touch to her, when I finally did got in touch after some while she ghosted me again. 2yrs downline i was tired and i called the man to help me get in touch when he see her i need to divorce her after all I did not file in my papers in, we don't have anything together apart from our marriage certificate. now they want me to provide that it was not a sham marriage. I don't have anything to show apart from the marriage certificate and the divorced paper. please Anyone with same issue and how did you handle it , please share and thanks.

I have been waitng to start my life like some of my cousins has been experiencing since birth for years in the US.
I wish they should have not made the Final Action Date current for years and then backlogged for years.
Do you guys think they are gonna move 1 month per 3 months like this in 2025? Is 2022-2024 not enough for them to process all the backlogs?
