It's standard text. I received the same on my approval notice. Never did another bio. I received my card in the mail 10 days after my approval notice showed up in my documents tab.

The approval letter will always say something like “Prior to receiving your Permanent Resident Card you may be required to report for biometrics, photo and signature
” that is just standard , it doesn’t mean that you will have to, but IF so, you’ll get a new letter with an appointment . My approval said the same, and 2 weeks later the card arrived in the mail !😊

@Steph Romano @Island Gyal I just received the approval notice via mail and it doesn't have card, Do you know if i get it separately?
Island GyalJun 10, 2024
@Sep15 22 Great! This is normal. Your card will follow shortly. I received my approval notice in the mail first, my card the next day. The approval notices are mailed by regular slow mail, meanwhile the card is shipped by priority mail. Hence why they arrived so close to each in my case.

@Sep15 22 Yes! it does come separately , it will be priority mail!

@Island Gyal @Steph Romano Got it, I could see that card was produced. Can i travel abroad once i receive card or do i have to wait for few days and travel?
Steph RomanoJun 11, 2024
@Sep15 22 Once my card was produced which was a Monday , I received it by Friday the same week, and the following Wednesday I took a flight to Italy 😁 But I will point out that on Monday , I decided to go to Social Security to remove the conditions since I know it takes a few weeks and wanted to get this out of the way. They processed the request but told me that my alien status had no been updated yet, so they handed me a paper stating that they will need to check the authenticity of my documents, Federal, State or Local Field, so instead of taking 2 weeks, it will take a month to verify before issuing me a new Social Security Card. A supervisor came out to speak to me and told me they can clearly see that my greencard and all other documents presented are real but because it was just approved and produced, could be the reason why the system hasn’t been updated. So just sharing that part in case you go through the same, they also told me that this is normal and they need to double check to cover their end! As for the trip , it was short just to attend my cousin’s wedding , I’m back in NY , no problems or questions at all!

@Steph Romano ohh intresting, regarding travel it make sense but, I have SSN already from last few years, Do i still have to go to SSN office again ? And what kind of conditions do we need to ask them to remove and how do you get to know to remove conditions on SSN?
Steph RomanoJun 12, 2024
@Sep15 22 well the difference is that after having greencard the new social security won’t have that typing on the top that says VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION . So the card not saying that means you are either a legal permanent resident or US citizen , they will also update your status in their system . I just want don’t my card to have that saying anymore 😅😂
