Hi everyone!
My pd is Nov 2021, been current for approx 6 months, but no update on case. Had my interview back in 2024. I did congressional inquiry about 4 months ago, but got same generic response that case is waiting background checks. Should I wait or seek mandamus option? Getting anxious now. 😢

Hola a todos, el pasado 8 de octubre tuve la entrevista y al dia siguiente me aprobaron la I-130, pero la I485 dice cancelacion de evidencia adicional (nunca me habian pedido evidencia adicional) asi ha permanecido hasta el momento. no se que esperar o si alguien tiene una situacion familiar, estuvimos en la oficina de Hartford

After the federal lawsuit, I was scheduled for an interview on October 1st, and everything went smoothly. I thought I could just wait for the approval. My WOM deadline is October 20th, yet it still says "interview completed, must be reviewed." Status. At this point, I received an email from the government attorney suggesting that I extend the WOM deadline by 60 days, stating they would contact USCIS and intend to issue requests for evidence, which would require additional time to complete the adjudication process. However, I still haven't received any official letter to date. Why is this happening? I've already had a follow-up interview, which went smoothly, and no documents were requested on the spot—yet now there are subsequent requests for additional submissions.

After file mandamus ice issue call - in letter. in filed office. because my son aslyee derivative status and we filed I-485 mandamus file 3 weeks ago. because 3rd degree theft charge and case is under investigation in federal court. why ice issue this call - in letter?

Looking for Advice: Getting Legally Married Abroad as a U.S. Green Card Holder Based on Asylum
Hello everyone! I’m looking for advice from anyone who has a similar experience.
If you are a U.S. Green Card holder who obtained your green card through asylum and traveled outside the United States to get legally married, I would really appreciate hearing about your experience.
My questions are:
• Which country did you travel to for your marriage?
• Does that country allow foreigners to get legally married while visiting on a tourist visa?
• Were you able to obtain an official marriage certificate?
• What documents and procedures were required?
I would especially appreciate hearing from people who have experience getting married in Middle Eastern or nearby Asian countries, as my fiancée is currently in Afghanistan and may not be able to obtain a visa for South American countries.
If you have gone through this process, please share the country you chose, how the process worked, and any advice you can offer.
