After the federal lawsuit, I was scheduled for an interview on October 1st, and everything went smoothly. I thought I could just wait for the approval. My W-2 deadline is October 20th, yet it still says "interview completed, must be reviewed." Status. At this point, I received an email from the government attorney suggesting that I extend the WO's deadline by 60 days, stating they would contact USCIS and intend to issue requests for evidence, which would require additional time to complete the adjudication process. However, I still haven't received any official letter to date. Why is this happening? I've already had a follow-up interview, which went smoothly, and no documents were requested on the spot—yet now there are subsequent requests for additional submissions.
