Waiting
This is honestly a long term torture. I know there are other people who having worst situations than us but honestly I feel exhausted just for waiting for something that if I were an American, I would not waste about 4 years in my life just to be like other people. If I receive the Green card, I would go to my college and finish my college program but after that I feel like I want to retire. Waiting for something that is uncertainty is a kind of mental torture. Pressure for quitting a job or keep working for several months, if you were an American, you would not worry about it so much. You want to work, you quit as you want. Just hope this October 2024 will soon advance, people waiting for what they sacrifice for. I hope after the wait, we would receive something good.
Anyway, any prediction for October 2024 since the advance for July is better than April and January 2024?

me and my fiancé are planning a wedding in August. he stays outside the USA, I have pending case with uscis on my 1-485 ( skilled worker) . my pd is current, now they are requesting for my medical and I should submit before September 30th. can I do the wedding and include him after my approval. we have a child ( a year plus). I really need help caring for our child.
priority date on i 485
Hi guys
I received application letter of 485 last Friday.
It says the priority date is 6/17/24.
I know the PD dates for visa bulletin is my LC date but because of the priority date on the 485 letter, i am getting confused.
My 140 priority date is 12/9/21 which is my LC date so that’s why I could apply for 485 and combo card in June’24.
My question is how is the priority date different on 485 receipt and 140 receipt.
And which date the USCIS take to process the actual green card?
