Maintain 35hrs per week
I’m working as a sushi chef at my sponsor restaurant for over a year now. I know that I have to maintain at least 35hrs per week to consider as full-time employee but due to business slowdown, my hour is not really consistent. Sometimes I have over 40hrs for one week but the other week I only have 30-34hrs. Since I work at a restaurant, I was schedule for 35 hrs most of the time but I always finished cleaning and left early so I ended up having only 34hrs. Is it gonna be a problem? my employee status is always full-time on the system tho.
Interview Experience PD 0CT 2021 from BDV
Hi Everyone,
I wanted to share a quick update regarding my recent green card interview. The interview went smoothly and lasted about 35–40 minutes.
The officer asked me:
• Introduction, Status on last US arrival, education history, current work history (not working for sponsor currently), yes/no question from 485 form, how did you find out this sponsor/job?
• Why I chose an unskilled position despite having a bachelor’s degree.
• What do you like about the sponsor Job?
• Whether I had a contract signed with BDV, I replied yes but then he asked for a copy of contract.
• About any traffic violations (I mentioned I had a recent speeding ticket and one in the past, and explained that I will resolve the current one by the deadline).
• If I plan to move to sponsor location to work for my sponsor (I confirmed yes).
At the end of the interview, I submitted my I-485J and employment verification letter, medical report, even though the officer did not specifically request them. He also kept a copy of my sponsor paychecks from when I had previously worked there.
The officer mentioned that working in an unskilled role despite having a degree could raise a concern, but said he would review all of my documents before making a final decision. I simply acknowledged his comment.
Now this was my experience, I gave interview 2 days ago and the status is still “scheduled for interview “. Anyone know how long until this changes?
for those having interview, be well prepared and don’t be scared, you’ll be fine, just answer honestly. Good Luck !!!

I-485 interview and Travelling whit I-131.
visited my home country last week. no problems what so ever in the border whit I-131. of course the secondary inspection but it's routine according to the CBP officer.
had my Green Card interview also on Friday. No problems, Green Card approved. No lawyer needed and questions were easy to answer. Mainly about my military service and about my work history.
Peace and good luck to you all.
Renew DL
Hey family, I have a quick question. I’m in Florida and my EAD expired 8/10 unfortunately I did not timely file the form I-765 to get the 540 day extension. Is it still principle to use my receipt and the expired EAD along with my pending I-485 receipt to renew the drivers licenses ?
I had my interview on 7/31 and case is still actively reviewing

Interview - Florida
Just want to share my interview experience.
The officer was so nice to us. She asked common questions about our relationship and all yes/no questions. When we started, she mentioned that I had a lot of evidence, and we only had the interview because of the new administration.
She gave me verbal approval for both forms and said the system would be updated soon. However, my medical exam expired because I sent my forms in 2023, and I need to send a new one to her to have the I-485 approved.
Can’t wait for this process to be over 🥹
interview
