Is anyone is awaiting a receipt acknowledging that they received your vawa case?
I applied since Oct 2022 and never received a receipt or any notice from uscis. I talked to my lawyer multiple times who then told me that the location for vawa application was changed and it was possible that the application was lost in the move or mail. The money order was not cashed. We resent an application in late May 2023. I'm still waiting for a receipt which im still hoping for in a few weeks. My
lawyer reached out this past week to let me know that he received a receipt from an application he sent in 3 weeks prior to my second application.
Has anyone received an update since their last check in? And what was the time frame like? #vawa#waiting#help
VAWA Feb/ March/April 2023 Filers
Hey VAWA folks, anyone filed in March 2023 who has received Prima facie/biometrics? They transferred my case from vermont to Nebraska to speed up the processing. I am yet to see the speed though haha.
Still yet to receive Prima facie/Biometrics though I have seen some March filers get theirs. I wish this process could be faster like how I-130 processing is faster now.

work permit c9 and c31
I am about to submit my Vawa application and got questions about work permit.
my Vawa application requests## c31 work permit.
from what I read, work permit c31 will not be available until Vawa case is approved. how do people who applied for Vawa get work permit under c9 category?
Can I apply both c9 and c31 together? I know I485 fees cover for work and travel permit but do I have to pay for c9 separately?
please someone advise me how to get c9.

RFE notice for pending i485
hello everyone, I got an update on my pending I485 that RFE was sent since June 17, but my lawyer said she didn’t receive it yet, she also sent an e request on July 5th and she hasn’t heard anything from the USCIS yet. I already did my medical and I want to know if I can take it to my local field office or can I send it to the NBC? #vawa
Divorce
I’ve trying to get a divorce but my husband does not want to sign it… what should I do?
I asked him a couple times if he can sign it, he said yes but he haven’t do anything yet and it’s been 7 months already… I know that I need a contested divorce but I don’t have the money to pay for it… I don’t know if I can get some legal aid help or what.
I believe that he doesn’t want to sign it cause he thinks that I haven’t fix my immigration status yet and I’m not planning to tell him either
any advice, anyone with the same situation???

hi guys, I applied for Vawa Form i360+ Form i485 Adjustment of Status + Work permit i765 on August 2022, EVERYTHING TOGETHER, but I just received my i360 receipts. I spoke with my attorney and she told that I have to wait, because probably they not process my other application, but that’s not normal, I want to TRACK my cases and I can’t because I need to “wait”? I can’t request a inquiry on the USCIS website because need a Receipt number which I don’t have it. please share your cases #vawa
expedite request
hello! I see as a healthcare provider I can place an expedited request for my initial EAD after 90 days of being pending. Does the pending status count from the case received date or the date they send me the receipt? there is 60 days gap between them. I am not sure from what time I am considered pending! #vawa #pendingvawa #expeditevawaead

My immigration options are given below:
October 2022: My employer filed PERM, but not yet approved.
January 2023: NIW I-140 approved.
May 2023: EB1A I-140 approved.
I have the following queries:
1) I want to clarify if having an approved PERM means I have obtained the priority date. Is it necessary to file an I-140 after receiving PERM approval through the employer to secure the PERM priority date?
2) If my PERM is not approved, but I file I-485 when EB1A becomes current, what happens if my PERM gets approved after 1 or 2 months of I-485 filing? Can I update the PERM priority date on my submitted I-485 application with the approved PERM? Will this shorten my waiting time for the I-485?
