VAWA CASE - receipts
hi guys, I applied for Vawa Form i360+ Form i485 Adjustment of Status + Work permit i765 on August 2022, EVERYTHING TOGETHER, but I just received my i360 receipts. I spoke with my attorney and she told that I have to wait, because probably they not process my other application, but that’s not normal, I want to TRACK my cases and I can’t because I need to “wait”? I can’t request a inquiry on the USCIS website because need a Receipt number which I don’t have it. please share your cases #vawa

no worries you will get your receipt numbers for I-485, 765, 131 soon. I also applied in August, 2022. I got a receipt for I-360 in September, 2022, the rest in January, 2023. be patient and will get everything.

@Daniel Ad hi Daniel, but it’s been 10 months… I don’t know if they proccess my case, if I need to apply again, for me this 10 months was lost 😩

it’s been almost a year so something is not right and besides work permit us 1-1/5 years to get one so you should try and ask your lawyer or something

Just have patience.. with a vawa case the most important thing is patience.
since you got your I-360 receipt and you filed a whole package together.
that means you will get the rest also.

@Gabriela Moreira I don't think your 10 months are lost, am pretty sure they have been processed and someone wasn't diligent enough to send them through to you. I know lawyers have a special email that they could use to email them to ask about receipt numbers. Your lawyer is just being difficult. 10 months is a long time, I would definitely want to know what is going on.

@Gabriela Moreira maybe you should write a letter to them to Vermont and ask for receipts. it’s really so long and you should have gotten your EAD at least. I totally understand your frustration.

@Divine intervention she can’t chat or talk to anybody in regards her cases under VAWA. she can just contact with a written consent letter.

remember not all the applications go the same place and we all know that USCIS are really slow so it will come

you will get it .same happen to me I ended up getting my work permit 11 months after application with still no official receipt . but you can write a letter to Vermont service center
