How does USCIS change of address affect my I-485 application timeline?
Back in Feb 2022, we filed I-485 and I-130 concurrently for my permanent resident application, with my wife, a naturalized US citizen, being the petitioner. Our case was transferred to the Chicago FO on 07/01/2022. The I-130 application was approved on 02/28/2023 and I received the medical RFE on 02/09/2023. We also knew from AskEmma back then that our interview has been waived. According to UPS, our I-693 response was delivered and signed by the Chicago FO on 04/05/2023. Until today (06/13/2023), there's no status update on my USCIS account (still showing request for evidence was sent). We have reached out on AskEmma for an expedition request, as well as contacted the Chicago FO through congressional liaison but just received some boilerplate response :-/ My wife and I have just graduated and would need to relocate to the LA county in a few weeks. Given that we are so far along into the I-485 application, how does the change of address affect our application timeline? Will our case be transferred to a different field office? Ready to Upload Documents (NVC Timeline)
June 2 midnight, we received our i130 approval. June 5, USCIS case status: case is sent to Deparment of State. June 6 morning, we received the NVC welcome letter (sent to both me and my wife via email) In the NVC welcome letter, there are the NVC case number and Invoice ID number, both of which you will need to log in the CEAC system. June 6 evening, we logged in the CEAC system and paid the fees. (NOTE: petitioner fee and applicant fee need to be paid separately, credit cards NOT accepted) Then the fees will be processed. During this time it showed ‘IN PROCESS’ on CEAC. June 10, fees are received and it says ‘PAID’ on CEAC. CR-1/IR-1 Case at NVC - US Citizen Sponsoring a Spouse
My case is currently at NVC waiting for an interview date. We became documentarily qualified on 2/22/23. My PD is 12/6/21. My spouse is in India. Raised an inquiry with NVC & below is their response. Thought to share it. Anyone else is also waiting on NVC or have experience they'd like to share? #NVC #CR-1 #IR-1 #CR1/IR1 #Mumbai This case is documentarily complete, which means the NVC has all the documents we requested. Your application is waiting for an interview appointment, where a consular officer will adjudicate it. The U.S. Embassy or Consulate provides the National Visa Center (NVC) with a list of available appointment dates and times. We will schedule your case for an interview appointment when an appointment date is available. We schedule appointments on a first in, first out basis. After we schedule your appointment, we will forward your case to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate General in MUMBAI (BOMBAY) We cannot predict how long it will take to schedule your appointment, but we will notify the applicant, the petitioner, and your attorney (if applicable) when an appointment is scheduled. Your case will stay at NVC until that time.

NVC payment
I made AOS and IV payments in late May and my case status changed to Paid after 3 days. After a week, I received an email from NVC stating that my payment was rejected. I contacted pay.gov, who confirmed my payment went through and sent me payment receipts showing both payments were settled. I forwarded the payment receipts together with the bank statement to NVC. However, I still got the same standard reply "Thank you for your inquiry. Duplicate and rejected fee payments should be resolved by pay.gov within 30 days. If it has been more than 30 days and your bank account has not been credited for your duplicate or rejected payment, please contact pay.gov directly. If your fee payment status shows "rejected" in the Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC), you will need to log back into CEAC to repay your fees." Even though I tried to pay again on the CEAC website, an error message pops up "there are one or more errors with your submission. please correct the areas indicated below. once completed, click the make payment button to continue: an error occurred while submitting your payment. please try again later." I am so frustrated and don't know what I could do. Would anyone please advise please. Thanks. #NVC #rejected payment

HELP ! "I submitted an expedite request to the NVC via email!"
I just submitted an expedite request trough email to the NVCExpedite@state.gov it should be highlighted that I submitted (I130 petition for alien relative ) on April 6 2023 because I find myself 26 weeks pregnant and Im alone with a lot of stress I have letters from my doctor and counselor so I need my husband here as soon as possible The thing is, when I sent the email requesting expedited processing to the NVC they sent me an email saying this,,, NVC Expedite To: Lejla D> o Whom it Concerns: Thank you for your inquiry. Our records do not show that we received your petition. It can take up to six weeks for an approved petition from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to arrive at the National Visa Center (NVC). Once we receive it, we will enter your petition into the U.S. Department of State's database systems. For current processing times, please visit our website at https://nvc.state.gov/timeframes for English and https://nvc.state.gov/plazos for Spanish. If your approved petition was sent to NVC later than the listed processing times, you do not need to take any action. If your petition was approved before the dates NVC is working on, please send us a scanned copy of your 1-797 or I-171 Notice of Action - Approval Notice. You can attach it to an email and send it to nvcresearch@state.gov. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ??? SO I dont really understand why they said " Our records do not show that we received your petition. ??? is it because I shouldn't have sent my request through email I heard people sending expedite request to this NVC email so I did the same .
