CASE MIGRATED TO ELIS (F4)
I am an applicant. My PD is 07-09-2016 from California Service Center. After 8 years 5 months and 12 days later on 19-02-2025 I got an update that My Case is transferred to ELIS and I got a new receipt number. So please would you like to inform me that how will it take to approve my case?

Transfer the case file to another service center
After my wife filed for expedited processing through USCIS and was denied due to insufficient evidence, I also reached out to Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib for assistance. When the congresswoman’s office asked for an update on the status of the case, they told me that the expedited processing request had been denied due to insufficient evidence and that the case was currently being processed at the Vermont Center. What is strange is that the original case receipt states that the case is being processed at the California Center. What should we make of the transfer of our case from the California Service Center to the Vermont Service Center?
I-485 EB5 Unreserved California Center Timeline
My I-526 (Unreserved) was approved on May 31, 2024, after being submitted in November 2019. I filed my I-485 in September 2022 and have been waiting for approval since. In October 2024, my approved I-526 was transferred to the Department of State. I'm currently in the U.S. and want to proceed with my I-485, but there has been no progress. What should I do?
Anybody in the same boat? any recent approvals ?
Also, since I know my medicals are expired. Would it be a good idea to interfile new medicals without an RFE ?
Today i got approval notice in my documents tab. but they are asking me for fill I-485 form . May i know how long its take to forward case to NVC (Approval comes from California center)
We have approved the above petition. However, you did not indicate on the petition whether the beneficiary intends to apply for an immigrant visa through consular processing abroad at a U.S. embassy or a U.S. consulate outside the United States or whether the beneficiary intends to apply for adjustment of status in the United States. Because the beneficiary's last address on the petition is in the United States, and the record does not otherwise indicate that the beneficiary is outside the United States, we have kept the petition for adjustment of status processing.
If the beneficiary intends to apply for adjustment of status in the United States, they should submit a copy of this notice, along with a Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. They can obtain Form I-485 from the USCIS website at uscis.gov, by contacting the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283, or by visiting the local USCIS field office. They also can find filing address information on the USCIS website at uscis.gov.
If the beneficiary decides to apply for an immigrant visa through consular processing outside the United States based on this petition, you should file Form 1-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition with fee, to ask USCIS to send the petition to the U.S. Department of State National Visa Center (NVC) for consular processing. Please refer to the Form 1-824 filing instructions at uscis.gov.

Approval! 503 Days
Hi community. I first want to thank everyone in this forum for helping us navigate this process. it has been a very long wait to get here and it was not easy but reading the stories and the experiences and knowledge of others has made it more bearable.
I am a US citizen and I have a wife & stepson that are immigrating to the US from Costa Rica.
We applied with the I-130 form in September of 2023 and we received our approval in February 2025. We received an RFIE in January of 2025 but we responded with the documents they requested and were approved not long after.
We are beyond over joyed although we know there is still time to wait and work to be done before we can finally be together. One step closer feels very good. If you are waiting I pray you will get your answer soon as well.
Our documents were sent to the NVC so we will wait for them them to contact us. Our case was reviewed by the California Service Center.
