Interview was complete today
My wife I-485 Interview was taken from the things that she put on her I-485 before it was file. What is the question was he asked her how many children do I have and they also asked her if she ever met my family what places that we travel to her interview was about 30 minutes my interview was not that long I just had to bring proof of my address for I-130 because my mailing address is still in Las Vegas and I’m in California. would make things a lot easier both spouse must have the same driver license with the same address Taxes with the same address, Taxes must be joint file or separate Fallon with the same address because they will pull your IRS taxes and the interview with the day and my wife just got a message right now. They just taken an action on your case.
To God be the glory. I-485 approved.
Dear friends, this is my journey. I dedicated 1 week to reach out to Emma and chat with live agents. It triggered them to look at my case. They sent me an RFE🥲 for extra documents to support my birth cert because my birth cert was done when I was 22 yrs old. The case was approved 7 days after they received my RFE response. My priority date is Dec 2022. My case was sent to California field office even though I am in another state. There was no interview. Thank you.

feeling pretty down and out about this process at the moment :/
hello friends! just a bit of a venting post. it's been a pretty emotional process, and curious about how everyone else’s process is going.
i understand the expectation and statistics around I-130 cases reflect usually a year-long wait before receiving approval, and i also understand others have waited much longer than that. i definitely do not speak as to discredit others that may have been toughing it longer!
my husband (AU citizen) and i (US citizen) filed our I-130 on our own online on jan 9th 2024 and were sent to 'being actively reviewed' by jan 19th 2024. our case is at the texas service center at the moment.
we completely understand the uscis portal's progress tab is inaccurate and shouldn't be trusted, so i feel silly for holding onto the hope that it'll reflect anything accurate. since filing, we have been "lucky enough" to have received a countdown not once but twice in the portal that got to one week before jumping to "your case is taking longer than expected to process. you will be notified if you need to take any action".
it's been super disheartening to say the least. the first time our countdown reached one week, it was pretty unbelievable and felt too good to be true.. aaaand we were correct. it jumped to taking longer to process once the one week passed.
i feel pretty disappointed in myself to have believed seeing the same thing happen again in the portal a second time would've produced different outcome. my heart hurts.
thank you, if you've taken the time to read my post! we're trying to stay as optimistic as we can because we're just ready to have him come home and be with my family and i in california. i know that others are struggling with worse situations than we are, and we're grateful to have the chance to work towards him moving here. my heart and my hopes go out to all of us who are sitting in these big feelings and riding through this difficult process together.
fingers crossed for all of us. 🤞
I-485 interview waived
I spoke with 2 different agents online. Both told me that my interview has been waived. Should I really believe this? Knowing that originally my case was at NBC was transferred to California. Does the waived interview for I485 mean that even I-130 is waived? Sorry, I ask a lot of questions.
Still No Approval
Dealing with a lot of anxiety and stress. My wife is pregnant due in June and I have not heard anything about my case. I know it is going to be even harder to be away from my family when our baby is born. Hopeful God will help us!
I did reach out via chat on Friday and they told me the following:
Your case is at (CALIFORNIA SERVICE
CENTER) and the last time an officer
reviewed your case was (05-10-2024) There
are no notices issued and nothing on your
case that requires your attention at this time.
please continue to wait while the case is in
process.
Hopeful this means we are close to I130 approval!

Approved yesterday. I found approval notice under the documents tab, while case status still on 2nd actively review and my progress still showing 8 months. It took 2 working days after I've sent RFE to be approved. First service center was Nebraska then Potomac, California and the notice of approval came from Texas. K3 didn't help at all. God is faithful. You will receive your approval soon 🙏🏾
