Case Processing
Upcoming Changes in Immigration Policies with the New Administration
I've spoken with a few attorneys I’ve worked with as paralegal and client to help break it down for you:
* Humanitarian Parole: Programs for certain countries may end, affecting new arrivals & current beneficiaries.
* Deportations: Increased focus on removals, especially for those with final orders. Know your rights before January 20th!
* Travel as Undocumented: Stricter TSA enforcement might affect options for flights or mobility for those who are undocumented.
* Asylum Interviews: A focus on the "last in, first out" system could mean faster interviews for new applicants.
* Green Card Applications: Potential delays and possible changes to the one-year waiting period before applying. (you might have to wait for 1 year like it used to be so APPLY ASAP if you’re eligible)
* More RFEs: Based on the previous 4 years of this administration, attorneys are expecting more RFEs on any little detail so make sure to triple check your forms before filing!
I’ll keep you guys posted as I get more info!
.

Response towards Expedite request
Do anyone know what is this response means as my expedited request was accepted and forwarded to the field office for further acceptance and now I got this email from USCIS
“Thank you for contacting USCIS concerning the above-referenced application. Below is a summary of what we have found.
Your case is under active review by an immigration officer. You should be receiving a decision or notice of further action at the address of record shortly. If you have not received a decision or notice of further action within 60-days of this response, please feel free to submit a new inquiry by calling the USCIS Contact Center.”
Any thoughts on this?

Expedite I-485
Hi everyone, My PD is Fab 2022. I don't know how long it will take to get my greed card. I spent too much time and money on this process, but now I am tired of working at restaurants. I got mentally sick because I make just $1400, which is not enough for my living. This month I went twice to the hospital, and my bill is over $3,000. I cannot do over time because I have a daughter and I am a single mom, so I have to also give her time. I live with my sister; she was helping me take care of my daughter, but now all the time she insults and yells at me in front of my daughter to say that when you will leave my house. My financial situation is hand to mouth. I just want to get rid of this situation. Is it anyway to expedite I-485?
finally green
