How does it take to get SSN?

How long do you have to wait for SSN after you applied for a SSN for the first time at the local office ? I got a paper from SSA office after they put my details into the system that said "4 weeks because they must verify with USCIS".

Any recent approval of form 290B ? it’s so fustrating it’s almost 50days since they received it.

I am a spouse of the principal applicant in an asylum case and we have 3 kids together. we had issues and divorced. I got married to an American and the marriage did not last and we divorced again. I and my first wife that had 3 kids together reconciled after my divorce from the second marriage and got married again. Now they invited the principal applicant and dependents for the asylum interview. Should I attend the interview with her and the kids since I was a dependent when it was filed and we are legally Married? please help

How long after your 765 approved did you wait for the card to be sent to you? Do you receive a SSN Card or just the EAD card?

PD: 02/28/2024, just received email action was taken, login into my account and the approved letter was on the documents Tab!!! thanks God!!!

Hello everyone! Has anyone had experience with the Rio Grande Valley Field Office? A live agent told me this morning that my case is currently there. PD May 5th 2023.

Update on my case:PD Feb 6 Approval letter-April 24 Case status updated- April 25 Sent to NVC-April 28 welcome letter-April 28; paid same day Changed to paid- April 30 and submitted documents same day DQ-May 12 I have a question, even being dq’d, the petitioner’s documents at ceac(nvc) still say submitted but the beneficiary says accepted. Is that normal? or does it take some time to change? No documents requested.

I-693 Surgeon using my maiden name from my passport

Hello, please share your experience. The surgeon saying that they will use and put my maiden name as per my passport in i-693, but I kept my ex husband’s name after divorce, so my local DL and EAD are under married name. Will it be a problem? they refuse to use my married name saying rhey always go by passport name which is my maiden name. So stressful.

It’s been 41 days since we uploaded additional evidence for the RFE request (consular process) and still no answer. Is anyone else in the same situation?
