apply gc on visit visa
Hi all,
I got a marriage proposal from other country & I'm on a green card (GC) will enable to apply citizenship end of may 2026
She is asking if I can bring her on a visit visa and then apply for a GC in the USA
I said it usually takes 12 months to get her GC & she can stay a maximum of 6 months then leave
Then she said she wants to apply for an extension after 6 months so she can get approved for a GC and continue staying
I said, "What happens if it takes beyond 12 months and there's no reply from USCIS?
Could anyone advise?
Case transferred to a local FO
Hi everyone,
I was told yesterday that my case was transferred to a local FO (Chicago). I have gotten two answers regarding the interview. They said it is waived and other agents said we can't tell me that info. So, i am confused and scared .
Is it possible that i get approved without an interview? why did they transfer my case to a local FO
Interview
I would like to ask for help from those of you who have already gone through the interview. I’d like to ask that you share the questions you were asked, especially the ones you consider most important, and also how you answered them.
I would also like to know whether anyone here was asked how they supported themselves financially before receiving work authorization, and what their answer was.
If possible, let’s keep the comments only to those who have already had the interview. I believe this will help many people here feel more prepared.
San Bernardino Field office
hi, anyone recently got approved from this FO? or anyone else is also waiting at this FO?
While I feel happy for folks getting approved from June-October 2024, still it’s frustrating not to see any movements being a May 2024 PD and October 2025 AOS filer.
I don’t see anyone from this FO even posts anywhere. Please share any updates/Timeline if you’re also waiting/approved from this FO.

pending case . when is the time submit a writ of mandamus ?
so my case is been pending for a year now I applied 2 years ago on may 2024 my case was placed pending due to the visa unavailability but according to the visa bulletin my date is current (Feb,20,2020 ) despite the visa bulletin my case remains pending with no request for evidence or further action . I call USCIS and they just said still under processing times but other cases with PD of 2021,2022 already been approved I request the assistance from the congressman I’m waiting for their response but I’m afraid they just respond with a still on processing times should I filled a mandamus or what should I do if they just come out with that ? does anyone here have done it before ?

This wait has been frustrating. My priority date is June 2022, and I'm currently on that date, but I see almost no one with that priority date getting any updates on their process 🥺
Last year, I had to renew my work permit, and it wasn’t difficult—I was able to get it renewed quickly, with an expiration date set for 2030.
