The second inquiry was made because the first one never got a response.
Also, do not ask for expedite processing for 485, this might get denied help from congressman if you don't have urgent reasons, thus it cannot reach USCIS. just ask for a status inquiry if it hasn't been moving for a long time. Or just ask them to confirm pd is current, say you are worried that uscis is not documenting pd correctly to cause the delay for approval
