police certificates
hey everyone, question regarding police certificates. on the state department’s website, they mention it’s only needed for places that the applicant has lived in for over 12 months since the age of 16. I see 6 months in some of the forums I’m in but was planning on using the 12 month rule (and sending screenshots of the state dept’s site) when I get to the NVC stage inshaAllah.
any clarifications? my husband spent 11 months in Morocco a few years ago but is from elsewhere so we’re really hoping to avoid having to get a police certificate from there since I’m assuming he would have to literally travel there to get it. thanks for any help!

I recently submitted Form I-360 (VAWA self-petition) and received the receipt notice. Now, I am preparing to submit applications for a Green Card and a Work Permit. However, I have some questions regarding the required documentation.
I would greatly appreciate it if someone could provide me with further clarification on the following:
Should I include all the documents I submitted with my VAWA application when submitting my Green Card and Work Permit applications? If not, what specific documents are necessary for these applications?

feels like a dream. they told me they were gonna take 6 more months to make a decision on my case. but I sent a lot of messages, said that I was going to sue and also asked for help to my congress man. got approved today!!

EB1-C job switch while I-485 is pending
Hello Forum,
Need an input, I filed my eb1-c application 2 years ago from Company A. Unfortunately in September 2023 I got laid off. In Feb 2024 I got an engineering Management role with another company B. I have not filed 485J yet. I started working on EAD.
now I got an offer from Company A who filed my I-140 and 485 as Lead engineer with out any direct reports. This is Sr position with focus on architecture and providing g strategic direction to next generation app. This role has better pay also when compared to previous role.
my question- will the title matter? can I switch back to company A by not worrying about title Lead Engineer or stay with Company B with title Engineering Manager and file 485J whenever it is time?

Missing the 160-180 per week Wave
Anybody who keeps a close eye on casestatus will know the approvals are in waves in the receipt blocks. Now my receipt block seems to have come out of the 160ish approval a week to 50-60, I do wonder if I'm in for the long haul like some of the ROW folks here.

police clearance
hi guys
so i am currently residing in sri lanka and I got my police clearance report for that … since 1999 till 2018 I was living in Saudi arabia under family visa of my dads and I was a student there. However i am no longer in Saudi Arabia and my visa there no longer exists and since 2018 I have been fully residing in my home country Sri Lanka.
Do i still need to submit the police report for saudi arabia? NVC also states that ‘non citizens not currently residing in Saudi Arabia cannot obtain a police certificate’ …
