Case Processing
Anyone waiting for biometrics for I-485?
I submitted I-140, 131, 765, 485 altogether in Aug 2023. and I-140 approved in Oct 2023, received EAD in Sep 2023. But I saw people normally asked to take biometrics in the meantime. however, it never happened for me, and I got RFE for medical check so I submitted this report last month and got notified they received it.
so I am just wondering there is any case like me, that biometrics are not taken yet. is it normal? and there is possibility to use my previous biometrics when they took it for VISA or CBP at airport?

USCIS is ridiculous 😂🤷🏼♂️
I'm curious about how they determine which cases get approved sooner and which ones take longer. Shouldn't the priority date dictate the processing time? It's baffling to see some people getting approved within two months while others have been waiting a year or more for a decision.
happy for those who got their decision earlier. I wish this could work the same way for everyone
I 485 mailed for renewal
hey guys has anyone else mailed in a form I485 for EAD card renewal while your green card case is pending? I mailed in mine but it’s been more than a month and I haven’t received a receipt from Uscis. Is this normal? I even emailed their lockbox email but I haven’t had any reply yet.
NVC

How’s it going, Feb 2023 AOS filers? Been seeing a lot of approvals from months after Feb 2023 that it kinda felt like they skipped us 😅

Approval 🎉🎉
let me share my experience with everyone. when I initially sent my application in November I did not send any evidence with the case the only thing I sent was medical. In January I went on the uscis online account and uploaded unsolicited evidence without uscis requesting anything. Everyone was saying not to upload anything wait until they ask, My interview was waived and I got approval. UPLOAD THAT EVIDENCE WITHOUT THEM ASKING!!!!!

police certificates
hey everyone, question regarding police certificates. on the state department’s website, they mention it’s only needed for places that the applicant has lived in for over 12 months since the age of 16. I see 6 months in some of the forums I’m in but was planning on using the 12 month rule (and sending screenshots of the state dept’s site) when I get to the NVC stage inshaAllah.
any clarifications? my husband spent 11 months in Morocco a few years ago but is from elsewhere so we’re really hoping to avoid having to get a police certificate from there since I’m assuming he would have to literally travel there to get it. thanks for any help!
