Asylum based green card
I know that it’s under the normal processing time which is 32 months but can I still file a writ of mandamus? Does anyone have experience with this?
I’ve tried reaching out to my congressman and senator to inquire about my application but it didn’t help.

VAWA approved 4 months ago
my vawa was approved 4 months ago (2/10/2024). and there is still no update on my I-485. no RFE for medical, nothing! I was sent my approval notice and EAD card. otherwise there was no other update on my I-485. I do have a pending green card from marriage, which has been pending since 2019. it was put on hold since my VAWA was pending. now my vawa was approved, I haven’t heard anything. someone please give me hope, anyone in the same situation?
Advance Parole experience
Hello everyone
I recently used my combo card ( it was approved a year ago) to travel to my home country- Nigeria.
I didn’t use it for a long time because of the fear that re-entry into the US is not guaranteed. I decided to take the risk and go home because I hadn’t been home for almost 6 years.
I was in Nigeria for 2 weeks. When I got back to the US, I was taken to secondary inspection ( most people told me to expect that). I was not asked any questions. The officer stamped my passport and told me to have a nice day. It was very easy using advance parole and I’m very happy I decided to go home.
