Green Card approved based on Vawa with no interview
Glory be to God, it wasn’t an easy journey for me since 2012 I’ve been fighting to get a GC and finally today I got an email saying my card is being produced without an interview. 😭😭😭

GC Journey
My GC timeline. Had interview in Nov 1st 2021. The person who reviewed our case and was supposed to do the interview left the office before the interview because of some urgency and another officer conducted interview. Interview went well but it was held for review as the officer who conducted the interview didn’t know anything about our case. After passing those stressful days, today status updated to “New Card Produced”. So happy.

Hello Community,

Sep 9, 2021 - 2nd Expedite request
Nov 8, 2021 - New card being produced.

I reached out to the congressman Jim Cooper Office Nashville in October seeking help. They seemed to be helpful initially but did not put any effort to reach out to the NBC
During the mid of October, I have reached out to Senator Marsha Black burn office. They were so helpful and asked me to fill out the forms and produce a document that I'm still employed to the company and was on Leave of Absence( I had an OPT EAD earlier)
They have reached out to NBC and kept me posted. If anyone in Nashville is trying to get the EAD expedited, I'd strongly recommend reaching out to Senator Marsha Blackburn's office.#

handled interview pretty well but approved…not on the spot
first a lot of thanks go out to this community, I really got a lot of useful information so I feel like to return after my interview experience.
F.O. at Philly. some officers are so nice, they smile at you when talking, some just being serious with you as business is business, and also I saw one officer(lady) even kinda yelled at the accompany person of a senior…
as I am on my opt-extension, officer went through every single one of my eight I-20’s and even asked for a I-797 of my extension. really out of my expectation but luckily I bring all the paperwork received from USCIS with me.
checked all the ID’s SSN’s, EAD cards, passports and birth certificates for both. my attorney even did not ask for the LPR’s birth certificate as they believe green card itself is sufficient enough as a good proof. well it turns out they want to see it. lucky me again that I got my spouse’s birth right the day before interview.
questions are simple as how we met, when, and how we dated before getting married. what’s the engagement like? wedding? and where. the others are just Y/N questions. just tell the truth.
for marriage support information and documents, they are interested in everything every paper with both your names on it. joint car/health/rental/house insurance, joint mortgage, deed, tax returns( filing jointly), even took my dental bills when we visited our dentist every time, having both names on it as well
for photos, they’d take 10 new photos after your case submission, not just two of you but with family members, friends
employement information: payslips and verification letter. better get prepared for it
in the end, after going through all the documents and questions, the officer just said l think that’s it for today, to end our interview. there was no verbal approval or on the spot etc, that I could not even ask if my green card is a 10-year one or not since our marriage is more than two years. I feel like we handled the interview pretty well, addressed every question the officer asked and every document being asked for (lucky me and also, be organized and prepared for……everything), but a little bit disappointed but soon I accepted it as it was and already ready to receive nothing update in months. my spouse did ask when should we receive any notice or result and we were told to receive notice in mail, within next month or so.
when i got out of office, I just felt released as the interview was over. checked Lawfully app and nothing update but interview was scheduled for 485 and case received for 130. but after an hour or so, I noticed there were 4 notifications of my Lawfully app that really got me excited. you really have to admit that the notifications in Lawfully are such excitement and inspiration during this journey, if you don’t receive it from case update a lot, just comment more and keep your faith.
finally best luck goes out to every one of you on this journey!

i751 with stoke interview (LA)
That was a long way to get for this today.
We got interview seperately and it took around 1 hour to finish the test.
Interviewer was so calm and profession but the questions from that interviewer was mind bening.
Let me share questions that we were asked by.
1. How could meet your spouse
2. Which university I graduated (Since ESL or english school violated student visa immigration law, they were so strict. They asked me to show my graduation university bachelor degree diploma)
3.how much both of us make a year
4. how many spoons we have
5. How many windows are in bedroom
6. Do you watch TV show, what is the name of it?
7. How many cars do you have
8. How much you pay for mortgage?
9. When was the last trip? and where did you visit?
10. What is your spouse friends name?
11. Why both of you didnt have baby yet?
12. What is your spouse job and where she/he is working
13. What both of you do after work?

Marriage based green card approved!
I just had my AOS interview in San Jose at 12 noon today and case status changed to card being produced 20 mins after.
I had prepared an entire folder but all she asked for was our passports and original marriage cert. She asked my wife a citizen, how and when we met and asked me the yes no questions.
