Finally approved after an arduous wait
Our EB1A i485 was finally approved after filing it in Nov 19. We sent medicals originally and they expired in Nov 21 so had to re-do them. Had to sue with with a writ of mandamus because we interviewed back in May 2021 and still no decision. We filed suit in September and almost instantly we got a notification that they had reaffirmed our i140 (we noticed at interview officer didn’t have on his desk). Then in the following months it’s all got moving, the RFE’d is for the medicals and approved the i485 same day they received them. No other issues at all - interview was simple and basically entailed us clarifying name DOB etc. Zero questions asked about anything else - didn’t show any original documents as didn’t ask. Just politely handed us a white piece of paper at the end of interview saying “background checks pending”. basically if you get this it means they don’t have a clue what’s going on in your case and it’s a total delay tactic! I would recommend suing 120 days after you receive no decision at interview. We had zero issues with our case except them losing all our stuff and waiting 2 years for them to realize!
anyway good luck to you all!
I’m signing off and deleting this app forever 😂
interview approved on the spot
guys I know it’s hard but just keep the faith. I thank all of my friends and Kayfully(the best what’s App group) to helped me keep my composure throughout this journey.
questions asked: what is you your DOB and why I was placed in proceedings. he didn’t asked my husband no question at all.
went over the i485 yes or no questions. he read over my address and asked if it was my signature at the back. That was it didn’t asked to see pictures or no copies of any documents. Told me congratulations, by the time I leave the building, “ new card ordered”.
I am so grateful 🍾
