Contacted a congressman
Hi everyone, I reached out today to a congressman and got a quick reply from a staff person. I am asking for help with my EAD and 131. I am hopeful. Some wise people on here advised that I try to lower my stress and anxiety with all of this and I am really trying to. Going to focus on being positive and knowing one day it will all work out. I will post about my experience with asking for help. My mum has cancer and my expidite was denied. Trying to stay positive and focus on what can happen and not on what hasn’t.
Wish everyone the best

Birth Certificate RFE
Hi, I just got an RFE about birth certificate for my AOS. here is my situation: I am Nigerian, born before 1992. I got an original birth certificate from my local government (because the national population commission wasn’t constituted at the time of my birth). the RFE is because the birth was registered 4 years after birth. I got an attestation of birth letter from the NPC, is this enough? my early school record has my name and date of birth but not my parents, and it was issued after the birth registration date. Should I include this? not sure if anyone has been in such situation.
Advice
Hello, I have a quick question . My VAWA was approved about two months ago, and my I-485 is still pending. I have already completed my medical exam so it’s ready in case USCIS requests it. I am planning to travel soon. Can I still use my combo card to travel to my home country? #vawa #i485 #travel #combocard
i-485J approved, any indication of green card?
I submitted my i-140 back in the spring (approved back then) and then once current in July, filed for my green card along with Supplemental J. Today, I noticed the i-485J was approved and I also got a "Name was Updated" alert on my i-485 case. Any idea if that means anything for my green card approval timeline? or is it still super random? (EB2 ROW, PD is current) #employmentbased #supplemental #timeline

For international nurses; how long does it if case is under review after interview because of retrogression ?My sister did interview in July right before retrogression and now things are stuck and the Consular officer said her case will under review and they updated on the NVS -Refusal. Traveling
Good morning everyone!
I have a question, or I would say : I need some guidance💡
I have a previous case with immigration that has been pending for 18 months, I have work authorization and SSN .. in August my husband and I submitted my AOS through our marriage so I didn’t submit I-765 and either I-131 (because I already submitted one I-131 for my previous case and it’s been pending for almost a year and no movement has occurred).
A couple of days ago I received a letter from a College in London that is granting me a scholarship for a master program, I applied long time ago in a moment that I was willing to leave the US even though my other process was still pending and my husband (at that time just boyfriend) was gonna move with me, but I need to attend to an in person interview as one of the final steps and of course that is the huge issue. What do you suggest to me? Because I can't request to expedite my AOS case bc it is within normal processing time and the first authorization to travel that applied with my other case wasn’t granted despite the medical reasons for the request and it is still pending.
I really don’t want to miss the chance, but I don’t know what to do.
Thanks in advance to you all and have many approvals today! ✨
