How to address omitted dependents in I-140 filing
I have a question regarding my I-140 filing. When I submitted my I-140, the only dependent I listed was my daughter, as she was the only one at the time. I didn’t include my daughter’s mother, as we are separated. However, since then, I’ve become engaged to my fiancée, and she gave birth to our child about a month after I filed the I-140. To clarify, neither my newborns nor my fiancée (now my spouse) were included on the I-140 form.
Now, my question is: once my I-140 is approved, can I include my newborns and my spouse (who was previously my fiancée) in the immigrant visa application, as I’m currently outside the U.S.? If so, what steps should I follow to include them? Has anyone had a similar experience or can offer advice? I’d really appreciate any guidance, as I hope to travel with them, if possible. Thank you!

my case is under security, background check since 2021. do you have same situation? what is background security check? why does it take very long time . I never had any criminal history or any other problem. I don’t believe they do background security check and because of my case is pending. I think they don’t want approve my case and looking for some reason for denying.

well, I guess the only bonus to waiting is the excitement of seeing each other after almost 12 months, my wife is currently on a plane to Australia and we will get the next 2 weeks together, while she’s here we will be following up with congress as they requested we do that. preying it all goes well

Any update from California center? I’m September 29, case has been actively been reviewed for months and no changes, spouse abroad. God grant us mercy in 2025 🙏🏾#i-130
