EAD and Advance Parole renewal
Hi community,
I’d like to share my timeline regarding my EAD and Advance Parole renewal. I filed for both the EAD (Form I-765) and Advance Parole (Form I-131) in July 2024. My Advance Parole was approved in April 2025, but the status of my EAD (Form I-765) still shows: “Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken.”
My employer is requesting documentation to confirm the 540-day automatic extension, but I haven’t received any official letter regarding this. I’m really concerned because I don’t want to lose my job.
Has anyone experienced this, or can anyone advise me on what steps I should take?
Thank you in advance!
My Asylum Application was approved last year November 2024
Is it an easy process to file for my Green Card base on granted Asylum without using an Antony? If yes can someone please help me with some of the details process. I got my Asylum application approved in 14/11/24 and I know I still have like 4- 5months more for me to get the full one year presence in the US but USCIS new policy permit me to apply now.
Interview coming up
interview coming up for my husband green card. I’m nervous because never been interviewed for something as big as this which my family depends on it. we getting everything we can ready and everything the letter says we need to take.
I own my house so we don’t have a lease but I’m taking my deeds and all bills with my name on it and the bills that have my husbands name which is only one or two.
we gathered our daughter’s birth certificate and baptism Certificate with our church envelopes with both of our names on it as church members.
we have our passed vacation plane tickets together for the last 4 years and our upcoming Disney vacation coming in August reservation. we printed our joint account bank statement and copy our months house budget and finances. and our taxes which we filed together for the last 2 years. letter from my husbands job with a letter from his boss. ours passports including our daughter. our amusement park contracts for the last 4 years. we have our matching real Ids with our home address. and we did a album with timeline pictures over 230 pictures since we started dating till last week which was my college graduation. we have our matching dental insurance card from my employment, both life insurance with each other and our daughter and my other 2 kids as beneficiaries. Car insurance which show I’m the policy holder of both cars since the titles are under my name but my husband is appointed as second driver.
I still feel like something may be missing. our interview is next week and I feel unprepared like what else can we take to make this encounter smoother as possible?
Any help is appreciated
approval time after being current.
i am finally current for the 1st time and was wondering after how long after the month starts do approvals start showing up? i know its still too early but i cant stop myself from checking uscis page.
i am just hopeful to start seeing some January approvals so i can atleast feel theyve atleast started working on the newly current cases
comments please
Today, June 3, 2025, I had my asylum interview at the Boston Asylum Office. My visa is valid until July 8, 2025. The interview started at 11:30 AM and ended at 3:30 PM. The questions were very tough and sometimes unbelievable, but I answered all of them honestly and completely. My case is genuine, and I had already submitted and uploaded all original supporting documents to USCIS one week before the interview.
Now, I have a few questions:
1. The asylum officer kept my passport—**is this normal?**
2. Does a **long interview** (like mine, 4 hours) usually indicate **approval or denial**?
3. I prepared and submitted my asylum case **by myself**. Is that okay, or will it affect the decision?
Status Clarification
My H-1B visa is expiring in a few months, and I have already filed my I-485 application with EAD and Parole few days ago. Is it possible for me to fall out of status if my H-1B expires while I'm waiting for my adjustment of status (AOS) to be approved? Should I renew my H-1B with my new employer while my AOS is pending?
Thank you for your support!
Interview
hello, I got an update on my case today that an interview is scheduled for July 31st, my dad who is a US citizen petitioned for me, I was hoping for my interview to be waived but that didn’t happen. I’m kinda worried , I’m now 23 should I go alone or should I go with my dad? has anyone heard of child of us citizen going in for a green card interview ?
