Confused. Anybody with same situation?
A week ago I received an update with the message:
- A new card is being produced
About 30 minutes later, I received another update with:
- Request for evidence
Later that week, I received another update:
- Your case is approved
What am I suppose to do? Do I have to pay attention to the RFE or just assume that I am finally approved?
The situation is more complicated when my wife only has received the RFE notice and any more updates as my dependent.
Anybody with some similar situation? Thanks
Missing hyphen on green card
Hi there.
does anyone have experiences where USCIS issued a green card without a hyphen.
I took my husband’s last name, and my EAD got the hyphenated last name but my green card does not, it came with an space in between instead of a hyphen. should I send it back and ask for a correction, or they just don’t accomodate hyphens on green cards?

why do some field offices issue a courtesy letter if they see your application is missing something or something additional will be needed to avoid the RFE? and other field offices just wait and issue the RFE making the processing time even longer?! this is beyond frustrating!! we started this process in May of 2021… and sent in AOS late December 2022. RFE issued 4/20/2023. Anyone have any insight on this? or in same situation?
