thinking of filing a mandamus
what do you guys think? anyone have tips or instructions on how to do this? which form is it? do you need a lawyer or can you do it on your own?

Expedited request
it's been a month now since my lawyer requested my I-130 to be expedited for my husband due to financial lost we even send prove to uscis. no respond yet I called them and the agent on the phone said it's still pending and decision haven't been made yet. how long does it take for Uscis to make a decision on expedited request? I just want my husband to reunion with us. my babies want to see him so bad!!
duplicate notice was mailed
I received this update 22 days after I was scheduled for an interview. Has anyone here had this same update? Does anyone know what that means?
“On August 19, 2023, we sent you a duplicate notice about a decision on your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number LIN**********, or describing how we will process the case if it is still pending. Your case is located at our National Benefits Center location. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your duplicate notice by September 18, 2023, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.”
NVC INTERVIEW APPOINTMENT
I was documentary qualified on June 28, 2023. my younger brother received an NVC welcome letter on June 14, 2023, and his case was expedited due to his upcoming 18th birthday. my case was also expedited as i’m related. The US embassy emailed us to book an appointment for our IR-2 visa, they said if you couldn’t find slot contact us. raising the question of why they wouldn't book the appointment themselves?
Any ideas folks ?

Card delivery?
Finally got approval! Guys, does anyone here has experience with card delivery? any signature requirements to get the physical card? Or do they simply leave it in mail box?

Same-sex marriage adjusting from F-1 overstaying for more than 10 years. Approved on the spot.
Very few questions asked. The ISO said “I trust you guys, this marriage is real” as the interview started. (He probably sensed I got a little nervous.) He asked if we brought anything new for him to see but weren’t interested in boarding passes we brought from a recent trip we took. He very quickly glanced at additional photos we brought, and only took copies of more recent joint financial documents. He didn’t want to see any of our holiday cards. I offered to show him our joint credit cards as he was taking off staples from our bank account statements, he said that’s fine, he didn’t need to see those. He also did not ask me (the beneficiary) any questions regarding our marriage. The entire I-130 interview is just my husband going over our courtship very briefly in about a minute as he was checking / typing on his computer.
He approved the I-130 and then asked us to switch seats to conduct an interview of me for I-485 on inadmissibility. He had a piece of sheet noting my past citations that I had disclosed during the initial filing. Those are all traffic violations and I explained to him in detail how one was completely dismissed due to a unique circumstance under which it was out of my control. He wanted to confirm if I had ever been arrested or fingerprinted and I told him no and made a joke that I’m a good citizen before I corrected myself and changed the word to “person”. Then a few more yes or no security questions. In the end, he updated the I-485 and asked me to sign on an iPad to confirm that security question 25 is checked for yes but only for traffic violations.
I was approved on the spot and the approval status was updated at midnight.
Overall a very easy interview but the ISO was strict at first. I was surprised that no questions were asked of me about our marriage when it’s a combo interview.
I’m still in disbelief that this journey is finally over.

F1 opt to AOS
Did people with OPT who applied for AOS have to open another USCIS account? My AOS applications appeared in my old myUSCIS profile that I created for my OPT automatically, but I was just talking to my two other friends, and they had to create a separate USCIS account for their AOS. The processing time for my case is getting so long which is nerve wracking, and I think I am now overthinking everything.
